Nice video but :-) "...not leting your heels touch the ground" You always jump on the whole foot. The heels must always meet the ground, but perhaps for a very short time. Hopping plyometric jumps on the toes increases the risk of injury significantly. The knee, ankle, leg lining, back and hip will hurt and shorten their career in sports. Number two: The contact time is going too long, which you do not want in any sport, so if you learn the wrong technique, you will do that for the rest of your career.

Marc Mörén nice input but i think theyre doing that to emphasize certain parts of the movement or muscle. For example, the long contact time is working on targeting the muscles that help with deceleration. Remember these are drills trying to strengthen certain muscle groups that wont necessarily relate to game like movements such as warming up with lateral high knees which youll never do in the game

The contact time also teaches balance & proper landing mechanics which is what he touched on when he was talking. Also, just because he says not to let the heels hit the ground doesn’t mean that the force is coming from their toes. You can hit the from your toes to mid foot without your heel striking the ground & not injure yourself. It’s actually proper technique when being quick and explosive. You strengthen your feet, ankles and calves to prevent injure and also do certain exercises, such as pogo hops, to increase elasticity and prepare the body for this type of movement. It’s all about proper prep, strengthening & mechanics and it seems as though he does just that with his athletes ♥️
