After our journey up north ( • Our journey to Pakista... ), we discover the most northern parts of Pakistan, where the views are stunning. First couchsurfing and exploring Gilgit, the capital of that region. Then we hitchhike further north to Hunza Valley. We do couchsurfing again in Karimabad, a scenic place where we could stay for a lifetime... if they would have heating systems :) We hitchhike further northwards until Passu, with the breathtaking Attabad (but sad history: en.m.wikipedia...) on the way. The plan was to reach the border with China, but because of the winter weather conditions, the Khunjerab Pass is closed. We'll have to come back one day in a warmer season. Because a lot of places remain to be explored...
Next: Swat valley • Children, clean nature...
Any questions? Put them in the comments.

Best time to visit northern Pakistan is summer. You can get hotels with heating in Hunza like "Eagle's Nest but they are somewhat expensive compared to others but totally worth it (considering the facilities and views). November is not good time to visit northern Pakistan, because roads to most tourist places opens for summer only. I would recommend planning your next trip thoroughly. If you need any information or help for planning your next trip let me know. :)

@yepee9
@yepee9 4 жыл бұрын
@@qu3mp3x74 Dates you have chosen are only good for hunza valley and nearby places, because it will be cherry blossom season in hunza (2nd and third week of April). Its not the best time to visit other places you want to visit. Fairy meadows: you can go to fairy meadows in these dates. You can go till raikot on your bike, park your bike there and from there you can get a jeep to tattu (you can take you moter bike to tattu but i will not recommend it because its dangerous dirt track, and i am not sure if whole track will be open that early in the season).Also keep in mind If jeep track is not fully cleared than your hiking time will increase signficantly. Best time to visit Fairy meadows is jun-Sep. It will be not as green in april as it will be in in summers. Deosai: Usually road to deosai only opens from may to sep. But this year army opened opened the main route and few groups visited it in winter(on 4x4). So its not confim that the roads will be opened or closed in coming April. But just like fairy meadows in april it will be dry and brown (no greenery/vegetation). if you want see the real beauty of deosai i would recommend visiting it in Jun-Aug and spending at least two days there, because during that time flora of deosai will be in full bloom. Hunza, Khunjrab Pass, Passu cones and Attaabad lake : Its the best time to visit these places. Road till khunjrab pass will be open during theses dates. It will be spring time in the valley and hopefully you will be able to see hunza in cherry blossom. From hunza its a day trip to khunjrab pass ( you can visit attabad,passu,sost on your way to khunjrab) so make your you leave early if you want to return to hunza same day. Gilgit: Gilgit will come in your way to hunza. But there is not much to see here. So i would recommend skipping it. Skardu: Just like gilgit there is not much to see in skardu city. But you can stay there to visit the neaby tourist points like: Upper Kachura lake, Lower Kachura lake (Shangrila resort), Katpana, Kharpocho Fort, Cold Desert, Shigar Fort, Blind Lake (Jarba Zhou Lake), Khaplu Fort, Mantokha Water fall, Hushe, Chundah, etc. As for trekking, apart from few treks in hunza valley, most treks will be closed in the april and will open in the end of may. I hope i have answered all your questions. But if i missed something or you have any other question feel free to contact me. Good luck

The only way for us to travel for a long period, as we're doing now, is by keeping our budget low. We don't mind the incoveniences caused by that, like lack of heating, it's part of the experience. Showing it in the videos doesn't mean that we make a problem of it ;)

You get what you spend for. There are all kinds of quality places to stay. But like most Europeans, you chose to spend the least so that's what you get. But it's not the general state of affairs when it comes to hotelling. Yes politicians need to urgently give attention to this region.
