Thanks to the scarcity of air at high altitude, the number of red blood cells increases, which makes people generally more resistant. Some studies have associated the reduction of oxygen supply with the increase in metabolism. Food plays a big role (anti-inflammatory, antioxydant) a unique diet, consisting of raw fruits and vegetables in summer, including apricots dried in the sun and open air (high antioxidant), sheep cheese and seed in winter. Less protein, meat, no alcohol, and low consume of sugar and salt. Limited to two meals a day, they also regularly practice fasting. The Hunzas secret is maybe particularly to be happy. Our modern lifestyle is the total opposite, we suffer organic stress due to a diet high in calories but low in nutritional intake. If we are able to adapt to this lifestyle, we could easily manage to live longer and healthier.

Thank you for these very good videos about Hunza people. It would be great to add some information about the recent past of the Hunza, maybe starting from the very first time their existence was discovered by western travellers, about 1860 on. I read a few very interesting books about these first contacts, when their life-style had not been changed by modernity as you see now in these videos, when they had no roads, no vehicles, nothing at all but what they could produce by themselves, when their food wasn't enough and they had to litterally starve for maybe two months in spring, when their culture was still uncontaminated and simply ashtonishing. We could find even more to learn from them, and avoid some inaccurate information that sometimes come out in the videos. Again contratulations for your precious work.

It is clearly visible even from a helicopter that the Turkish blood has penetrated that great race and we see them all around us especially the further down south Elbasan ect. After this video was posted, the degradation of this place began. With the influx of tourism, watch how this place is destroyed. The reason this place is the way it is is because it was tuck away from most people except for those residing there. It does not take a rocket science to predict that tourism is going to change everything in that place. In a decade or so everything that is beautiful in that place will be gone.
