Alan, I like the 12 year at 43% ABV but they have dropped to 40% in the States. Love a 13 year BS SiB pick from ACE Spirits, first time I got almonds in a scotch. Cheers!

Hey interesting, fun review Alan! Old Pulteney 15 definitely sounds better than the 12 year old expression which I find undrinkable. I know we all have different palettes. Love your thoughts on the 15 year old! The Huddart isn't too bad! I usually pass on Old Pulteney but I appreciate many people enjoy it! Cheers!

Nice review, as usual. I tried this one together with Old Pulteney 16yo Traveller's Exclusive, quite a fun thing. To me, the 16yo was a bit better both in smell and taste. But both of them were really good. Cheers

tried this at a whisky festival two weeks ago and wasn't very fond of it. Too bad, maybe it was just the surroundings distracting me. I found it badly matured and watery. But glad you enjoy it. I'm pretty sure you got a more complete impression of it after half a bottle. Maybe I should give it a second chance down the road.

My highest scoring scotch is an old pulteney 12 yr single oloroso 64.3%. Knocked real heavy hitters out of the park including glendronach grandeur batch 13 29yr and some Edward our single casks 25-30 yrs

i've tried a few old pulteny's over the years, and pretty much liked them, and this one sounds like it's got plenty in there to my tastes, so i'll give it a spin. it's currently £73 at MoM, maybe a tad up there for price, but i'll keep my eye on it. thanks for the review

Like you Al , stepped away from OP a bit , I feel they’ve lost their way , whiskies are ok 15 best of the bunch but as you say ..Def not at full price £60 ok ..that’s not bad anymore and it’s too much And that’s been the issue 👍
