Hi Danny, this was 10 months ago, & I tell you I keep going backwards to see your video`s, its November 17, 2022 now! Wow the Medieval Castle was very Beautiful !! The cherry liqueur sounds delicious! Wow to change a church into a bookstore is a cool idea, here in Illinois America some might have a Abandoned church or one might just sell it, & people they remodel it to a house to live in! Danny, when do they start putting up lights on the Brick Walls before Christmas of the castle? Coming soon is November 24, 2022 is Thanksgiving our Holiday, for Families to get together! As for Christmas another Holiday, some go to Mid Night Mass at a Church, others just do Families together in their homes & celebrate with Christmas trees decorated, & exchange gifts & some give presents from Santa, some decorate the outside of their houses plus inside !! Great Video, & the Bloopers were funny! Love from Central Illinois America 😉🥰

The difference between the village in the daytime, and after dark is amazing! Such a beautiful place...don't worry about being nervous with other people around...I'd be the same way. Nice work Danny. I visited this castle a few times. One time a Dutch woman spoke to me about one of the times I was in Óbidos and she loves Óbidos but doesn't like the part she calls "Disneyland" that they do there. She says it's a crime what they do in the castle with all these decorations, tourism and Disneyland-like things imitating medieval things. She prefers things the way they were. I understand what she says.Anyway this was another interesting video. I liked the passages from the past to the present and from day to night. And of course Bloopers at the end 😀

Heyy dear Danny, What a wonderful video again of this medieval village Obidos. - I loved the twist in your video with the "Danny of the past" - so funny! - Of course I also loved listening once more to my favourite history professor, when you were telling the historical background of that village and the impressive castle, which has been converted to a hotel. I presume, experiencing a night in that castle would certainly be something memorable and amazing. - The village with these houses and churches is so beautiful to see with all the different colours, especially in the Christmas season additionally with all the decorations and many lights. - Lovely!. - The view from the the wall is simply breathtaking, and I agree to you, that the walkway looked a bit sketchy without railings. But ..mmmhhhh..the chocolate season with the different chocolates and cherry liquor sounds delicious and very tempting! This even might be my favourite season there in Obidos. - I also loved seeing the beautiful churches, and the one, that has been repurpused as a book store. - Very funny bloopers at the end, and so charming in the typical Danny way making me laugh. Thank you, my dear friend Danny, for sharing this beautiful location with us viewers. This is most certainly a place, I would very much like to visit once. - Stay safe, peace and many hugs! That's funny, I was just thinking that they weren't very safety conscious back in the old days because there are no railings then you talked about it. I completely understand your feeling of shyness when filming around people, I'm the same way. The street is very pretty at night with all the lights. Great video Danny! Sometimes it can be an adventure to explore places in the early morning or at night. This reminded me of when I got to explore small towns in Spain. The castle you talked about that has been turned into a hotel reminded me of the Château Frontenac in Québec City, although unlike the castle in this video that one was originally built as a hotel. But, you have to be staying there to really explore much of it. Have a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a great holiday season!

Hello and Feliz Natal Danny!! What a wonderful little village and seasonal festival that you are showing us... as I've stated before, it must be so awesome to be surrounded by such historical elements as this place has, the wall and those entrance gates are just amazing! Decorating and putting up those lights must be an epic chore, but it sure looks worth the effort! Walking along the wall looks pretty intimidating but again, gorgeous scenery!! Beautiful churches and creative use of the ones that no longer serve as 'places of worship' but still perform an important function. The cherry liquor and chocolate festival must be an awesome time to celebrate as well... I hope that you sampled some ( or much ) of both!! I love Óbidos,I absolutely fell in love e gingilha last time I was there o mg it’s so good ,to compensate for ig ,there’s this liqueur in USA nog thd same bug reminds me of it that I buy once in a while that’s called Drambruie,it’s so strong but do so good 😂,believe it or nog I’m not even a drinker ,only occasionally bug I lovd it !!
