My 5V voltage shows Red in BIOS. What does that mean?

If the 5V voltage in your BIOS shows as red, it typically indicates that the voltage is outside of the normal or safe operating range. The BIOS monitors the voltage levels to ensure that your hardware components are receiving the correct power. A red warning usually means that the voltage is either too low or too high, which can potentially cause instability, hardware malfunctions, or even damage. Here are some possible reasons and actions you can take: Power Supply Issue: The power supply unit (PSU) may be faulty or unable to provide stable power. Consider testing the PSU or replacing it with a known good one. Loose or Faulty Connections: Check the power cables and connections to ensure they are securely attached. Loose connections can cause voltage drops. Motherboard Issue: There could be an issue with the motherboard's voltage regulation circuitry. Inspect the motherboard for any visible damage, such as swollen capacitors. BIOS Glitch: Sometimes, BIOS might misread the voltage levels due to a glitch. Updating the BIOS to the latest version might help resolve this. Overclocking/Undervolting: If you've overclocked your CPU or made other modifications in BIOS, it might be affecting the voltage. Reverting to default settings could resolve the issue. If the issue persists or you're not comfortable troubleshooting it yourself, it’s advisable to consult with a professional technician to prevent any potential damage to your system.
