I guess they call it China Mall because the Chinese built it and named it. When we build ours we can name it accordingly to reflect Cameroon and even to reflect a supermarket rather than a mall.

It’s very hard for Africans to trade freely with each other without their own currency We should be easily importing cotton from Egypt 🇪🇬 and Kinte Cloth from Ghana 🇬🇭 with no tax or currency boundary … China and U.S. does it everyday with their own people Those items would make a beautiful African mall

If I sound like I was being rude my apologies… what I was implying was west Africans are very enterprising… if not the most enterprising people in the world 🌍… west Africans particularly own the most businesses in many areas We can’t forget the many braiding salons, restaurants, food/fruit vendors, and even street vendors… in the city of Philadelphia west Africans own the most businesses in the city despite not having the tallest buildings there… we can look beyond the height of the building and see our own unlimited potential

Chinese business should end at African ports of Entry and all goods should be sold to local businessmen and women. In this Cameroon, where can we find durable things? We are not encouraged to produce things, all thing na to import. So we will resort to buying the things and changing every other season😭😭🥹. See the drape thingy i got from Orca at 40000frs, China mall sold it to my sister at 9k abeg abeg 😅😅😅 i don’t care, I’m not going back to Orca unless it’s in the house I build 😅

It would have been great it at 50% of products sold here were made in the country. Unfortunately, 99% are imported. This creates jobs for other nations (China for instance) while the majority of Cameroonians are jobless.

Exactly. Now, If China allows Cameroonians to go into China, the way Cameroon is allowing China to come into Cameroon, that would be a mutually beneficial situation with respect for the country and culture. African countries really need to stop letting other nations exploit the beauty and richness of resources. Sadly, this continues to happen all over the continent.
