I'm a French expat living in Japan and I'm very glad to see this house being featured on your channel. I think J-scent and its fragrances will be particularly appealing to people with a connection to Japan since they all allude to an aspect of Japanese culture. The opening of ramune actually smells exactly like what it tastes (lime-lemon with a medicinal element to it), it's a drink that's been around for more than a hundred years and kids grow up drinking it during summer festivals here (matsuri) so it's very fun to find the exact replica of it in a fragrance form. One more think to add is that here in Japan they are sold for less than 5'000 yen (for a 50ml bottle) which is barely 30 usd at today's rate. At this price, it's not affordable it's a steal !!

im a japanese fragrance lover. i like this house so much, and i recommend hanamizake and ramune, these are very popular in japan. however, i'm very surprised that these are too expensive than i always see. i see them 30 dollars for 50ml in japan. so some people who plan to come to japan, i suggest buying in here.

You must get your hands on an actual yuzu, the taste and aroma are spectacular. It’s very special. I went to a restaurant that gave out a yuzu lemonade in a tiny cup as a palate cleanser between courses. I forgot the food there but I still remember that incredible yuzu shot.

I think lemon squash is the kind of squash from the UK that is a concentrated fruit juice that you add to water. My Japanese friend gave me some sencha green tea grown on the mountain of her home town and I thought it had a very marine and seaweedy smell! I've never tried anything from J scent but paper soap sounds really good!

Great to see y’all together onscreen again. I stopped by Ministry of Scent about three months ago and ended up purchasing Sumo Wrestler after one sample…no regrets. That combo of musk, sandalwood(really well done note here) and patchouli is phenomenal. A scent that’s handsome as all get out 👍

Oyedo (to me) smells more candied, whereas Yuzu has a more natural fresh feeling. Also keep in mind Oyedo's performance is going to be very weak

I just tried my first J scent… ume amaretto oath… Very disappointed…it reminded me of the cheap incense burning in an Indian gas station…my wife hated it as well….

These fragrances would be great if you can pick them up during a trip to Japan, where it's only 4950 Yen including taxes, or about 31 USD at today's exchange rate. To buy them in the US, it's $110 before taxes.
