Very helpful video, I'm trying to figure out the inner workings of a receiver myself and this video helped me to identify some of the circuitry that I was trying to understand.

Good bargain there! I got a silver one of these online a month ago for 70 CHF here in Switzerland. Can't believe you paid 12 USD!! Switzerland is cheap compared to other euro countries. Same unit in Netherlands was 200 Euros! For me I found the amp very bass heavy but I tried it with hefty 23KG (each!) Canton Fonum 701 speakers. I had to turn the bass right down as it was like an earthquake. Now I got some Infinity 11i's hooked up with my 1980 Aurex amp. I think I shall try those with the Yamaha amp and do a comparison.

What!? The Savers in my area offer NO discounts on electronics. I’ve purchased nearly my whole hifi rig from them, including cables.

1987 is not really considered "vintage' in the vintage audio world!...ive got a 1977 Yamaha cr- 1020... any audio from 60s and 70s is a whole other ball game😊😊 highly recommend taking a look at vintage 70s receivers, especially the Yamahas😊

hi:) it's called a receiver because it has a tuner built in.

Oh, so THAT's why it could make music just by having some wires connected to the back. :-)
