I'm sure you know but she did suffer from tendonitis which was put down to her pick position in her fingers which she has now adjusted. If you watch the 2017 Shinkiba Studio Coast Concert (which I'm sure you have), she is strapped up from her knuckles to her elbow.

@@dicodec All of the Ladies will fix/change things when it causes them issues. Kanami's tendonitis, Saiki and Miku's voices, Akane's back injury, MISA's continuing issue with her left shoulder and forearm, which she has been working to lessen as an issue. Her basses are lighter than standard, she also uses a wide than normal strap and has a regimen before and after performances to warmup/cool down her shoulder and arm. The main issue facing them currently is Miku's high platform heels and her jumping in them.

I saw these ladies in concert a few weeks ago on their US Tour, It's likely the best concert I've ever been to and I've seen a lot of concerts and a lot of talented bands. This song is fairly straight forward, but they do have a lot of range in what they play in the rock spectrum. Some of their old greats are Real Existence, Dice and the song that kicked off their popularity back in 2014 ( Thrill )... Then some impressive mentions Blooming, Daydreaming, and if you want to get into some of their newer craziness: Unleash!!!!! and Influencer.

Domination is a live staple, they ended every show of their just completed US tour with it, just a a fun middle of the road rock song for them. As fans of guitar hero you might want to check out their instrumentals - Onset, From Now On, Without Holding Back, Don't Be Long, Dawn Winery Theme and the instrumental version of Giovanni, it's on these few occasions that you get to see Kanami play extended lead work. You are right that they are not human, they are Rock'N'Roll Angels.

Ladies, never think "I couldn't do it". Miku Kobato (red rose, rythm guitar and backing vocals) only started guitar in her early 20s AFTER the beginning of the band! She's a really fine rythm guitarist now. You can do it too!

Welcome to the truly wonderful world of Band Maid. The band was formed in 2013 by Miku (rhythm guitar/lyrics/backing vocals), an 810 year old pigeon (this will make sense to you eventually). She had worked in a maid cafe at one point and wanted a band that would contrast the image of the maid with face-melting rock, or as they call it "The Gap". Once the band had formed (Kanami - lead guitar/composer, Misa-bass, Akane-drums) she decided that her voice wasn't right for what she wanted so they held tryouts and Saiki (vocals) joined the band. After that, Miku went to Kanami and asked her to teach her to play guitar so that she could add to the bands sound. They have a discography of over 100 songs and while I have favorites, I haven't actually heard a Band Maid song that I didn't enjoy. They just finished a US tour where they were seen by over 20,000 people (I was lucky enough to see them in San Diego!!) and opened for Guns n' Roses in Japan. They have a bunch of great videos you can see on their channel. Traditionally, people will try "Freedom" (LV), Play (LV) and Onset (LV - instrumental), though I'm a big fan of the more recent "Manners-Black Hole" (LV 2-fer) and Influencer (MV - their most recent release) to get a broader feel for their range of music. I can't wait to see your next Band Maid reaction!

Look from the old stuffs till the latest & see how they progress throughout 9 yrs playing together. And go to the channel Ohrenje to learn their histories & personalities unique to each one of them. If their persona won't catch you...nothing will from them.

Welcome to the pigeon-hole that goes by the name of 'Band-Maid'. 5 ultra-talented ladies who make music together for almost 10 years. So the fact that their catalog has plenty more in store is an understatement. You haven't even scratched the surface of what this, for many, best rock band of our time has to offer. :) There is a nice saying that you get to read here and there again and again. "America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it.", and since I've been turning my musical gaze towards the Far East for a few years now, I can only agree with that. Most will recommend 'Play' or 'Freedom' in their live versions at this point. I'll throw the live version of 'Real Existence' into the pot as well, and I recommend fastening your seatbelts beforehand. 🔥🤘🏻 Greetings from the German Maidiacs division. 🙋🏻♂ _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Then dozens of songs - everything is good and many are great! Try - “Freedom” - official live video - “Dice” - official MV - “After Life” - official MV - “Unleash!!!!!” - official MV - “Manners / Black Hole” - official live video - “No God” - official live video - “Sayonkadori” - official acoustic live video The list goes on and on and on… Miku, Saiki, Akane, Misa & Kanami may become your favorite musicians on the planet…🤷🏻♂️🎼🎸🌍 Band-Maid Members (Simple Version) - [ ] Miku (ME-coo), 31 - Rhythm Guitar, Second Vocals, Founder, Pigeon, Primary Lyricist, Red Flower 🌺 Chief Spokesperson, PO!! - [ ] Misa (ME-sah), 30 - Bass, Barefoot Assassin - [ ] Akane (AH-kah-nay), 32 - Drums, Gorilla - [ ] Kanami (Kah-NAM-e), 31 - Lead Guitar, Princess, Primary Music Composer - [ ] Saiki (Psyche), 28 - Vocals, The Ice Queen, Quality Control, secondary lyricist, Blue flower 💎 Take care and enjoy the journey!!! ✌🏼🎼🎸🔥🤘🏼😀

Welcome aboard, Brewsters. You are embarking on (along with many others - 157 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid: BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (124 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5XWaJppgpJnorM Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX2lkHiGiJlrfqc) And many songs are represented with over 40 well produced music videos. kzbin.info Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts: ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHLHiKF_h896l80 Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5PcgnaAo5ulj8k ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6K0n35_gbdoq5I Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 (Full concerts from the last two songs are on bandmaidprime.tokyo and DVD/BD/CD) And some of the better quality 2022 US tour Fan vids are excellent. Here’s one of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue: And by Wave Potter with their last 2022 US tour OKYU-JI concert in Chicago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGqllHmtj99mmcU If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid Members: Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 28 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 31 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. [BAND-MAID NEWS] BAND-MAID PRIME - Special Video Distribution Website. I discovered this group a few years ago with their viral video Thrill which 9 or 10 years ago apparently saved them from being dropped by their record company. That led me to their official YT site and the fun of watching reactors like you discovering Band Maid. I’m almost 73 and have seen a lot of great concerts. In later years became disenchanted with popular music. Too much homogenization and music by committees. I loved this group but I was suspicious. I thought this was too good to be true. Today editing, dubbing is almost supernatural in power. Seemed fake to me. Don’t get me wrong I loved what I heard. This year they came to America so I flew down from Toronto to Houston then a week later to see the girls in New York. They are the real deal. I have everything they put out, imported vinyl were available. The live videos are better than the studio and the live concerts are better than the videos. Great improvisation note for note precision, enchanting humor and stage presence. I recommend just about anything live from their channel, Freedom for the drum solo, Onset for the instrumental, Dice a little harder, so many to chose from over 100 tracks. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Over 100 on the Band Maid play list that I have heard so far. They never cease to amaze me. Given that you are more metal oriented, I would recommend the Manners/Black Hole pair of songs with About Us as a relaxing palette cleanser. All on their official channel. Welcome to the world of Band Maid!

I am a man of the non Jessica Gao type , and I'm proud to rock my maid shit ANYWHERE and declare that these ladies make up my favorite band! Here's a new word for you -- Sugoi (su-goy) It's Japanese for "amazing" or "wow". Remember it, because you'll be saying it every time you watch a BAND-MAID video. Which I feel like will be quite often after seeing this reaction. 😁

Thank you for teaching us that! We will definitely need to use this watching them in the future!

They've been together 10 years. Have multiple albums. Have turned Europe Asia and the United States multiple times, just finished 2022 USA tour last week. I saw them Dallas. You're talking about him like wow they're so good, I just discovered them, let me react. All these reaction videos playing their music should be hit with a copyright infringement violation.

The Asian Rock and Metal rabbit hole is deep, 😆 you can choose any song from that amazing women, they don‘t have bad songs. „Freedom“ live may be a good song to continue the BM journey.

I will take a leap and assume we can now call you fans - or well on the way. Welcome aboard - this band is one of the best new things to happen to rock in the 21st Century. Roy G made some good suggestions if you want to explore Band-Maid a little - don't worry about running out of options, tho - they have well over 100 songs out there and most will say there's not a bad one on that list.

You just found one of the best rock/metal bands from Japan. Notice I say “one of” which means there are more, and most of them are all female. This niche is probably bigger in Japan than the entire rest of the world right now, mostly because you can still make a living making niche music in Japan. Other epic all female Japanese bands this good: Nemophila LOVEBITES Aldious Hanabie Lonesome_Blue Trident Fate Gear Ghacharic Spin There are many, many more, but for the sake of quality first… If you want some meaning to your lyrics the prize is shared between Nemophila (Dissension is pure modern day social commentary) and Hanabie who are all about the struggles of growing up as a young woman in modern Japan. Hanabie are Harajukucore. They are world beating metal in 2022, their song “We Love Sweets” usually makes for a priceless reaction.

I swear to God I have never double commented on ANY video on KZbin ever! But I fucking love Band Maid, I found and fell in love with the band based off two REACTION videos I saw like 8 months ago, and I love doing my own reactions and watching and enjoying one's like yours, but although you both were great, the very chill and attractive young lady on the left and her energy and clear physical enjoyment during Domination, and those like " holy shit " facial expressions lol just did it for me. Like you two ladies made my day and I certainly subbed you and I'm sure all of the other BM fandom folks in here will sub you as well because that's what we do. Band Maid fans are mostly all kind and respectful people.

Band-Maid have over 100 songs and there are no bad ones. Pick anything, but live is where they shine brightest. Then give a listen to other Japanese bands like LoveBites, Nemophila, Hagane, Aldious, Bridear, Fate Gear, Hanabie, Asterism, Unlucky Morpheus, Gacharic Spin, Whiskey Dust, and Wagakki Band, just to name a few. Happy listening!

Yup, sounds about right 👍! I'd just toss in Skandal, Trident, Iron Bunny, Mary's Blood and Glim Spanky for good measure. Among all of that musical greatness (and they are great bands with great music) It's my humble opinion that Band-Maid stands apart as truly special. Welcome to the Pigeon Hole Brewsters, see you at the bottom PO!
