Great job, you two! Welcome to the best hard rock band around. They'll make your face hurt from grinning and then rip it off! Their musicianship is off the charts, and the more you hear the more you like. Right now you're in stage one - surprise/shock. A couple more and you'll reach the final stage - hopeless addiction. Their songwriting skills are even better than their playing and their playing is ridiculously good. I usually dont watch videos that get interrupted but i always give them a fair try. You have the absolute BEST channel that does that. Very personable, always rewinding before you continue on, and have interesting comments. They are not just a girls band, they are the best hard rock band on this planet! As you can see, they are the true live band! Just a little advice for you guys, don't try to read lyrics and listen to music at the same time for your first listen. Consider the vocal as another instrument and simply enjoy their sounds. For the second listen, read the lyrics. Their lyrics, Miku (rhythm guitar/support vocal/band founder) writes most of their lyrics, are basically positive, upbeating, and deep. And a thing about the Maid Outfits, Asia & BJ -- As Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku (2nd guitarist, lyricist and founder who worked at a maid cafe), wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, rocker "poor tortured artists" clothes... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working. Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!

Best hard rock band in the world today period. No one writes better songs. No one puts forth more effort. Talented musicians that love what they do! Individually, the bass player, drummer, and lead guitar player are as good as anyone in the business. The rythym guitar player is the founder, lyricist, costume designer, Mc, promoter, TV personality, and she has become a damn good player and singer in her own right. I used to be part of the problem when it came to supporting girl band's, that was until I discovered Band Maid, it's been 5 years since my awakening, I'm 60+ years old and almost listen to Japanese female rock/metal bands exclusively, and have never been rocked harder.

Band Maid is a play on the Maid Cafes in Japan. Miku, the rhythm guitar player formed the band used to work in a Maid cafe.

Band Maid is the best rock band playing today, especially with the fact they can play live like that. Check out the Manners/Black Hole live video. Manners is completely groovy and Black Hole is so hard, it is amazing they can play it live. No God as one of the bass solos, all songs are great, Live versions are better. I would suggest a Korean group, Mamamoo, the best 4 singers on the planet. They dont do rock like band maid, they seem to mix everything, Latin, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Big Band, even some reggae, country and disco. Mamamoo is also all about the performance. AYA, Hip, Dingga, 1 CM, I Miss U, Where are we Now, Egotistic. everything is good. My playlist is basically Band-Maid, Mamamoo and Prince may he rest in peace.

How Band Maid works; Kanami (lead guitar) composes the music sending it (internet) to Akane (drums) and MISA (bass) for them to create their lines. With the music pretty much done it goes to Miku (rhythm guitar, Band Founder) who writes the lyrics. Saiki (singer) has input to the lyrics. Then into the studio to finalize the song, Saiki having the "We're Done" call. The maid costumes are to create the "Gap", meaning the difference in what you are seeing Demure Maids vs what you are hearing Hard Rock. Just think you still have Babymetal, Lovebites, Mary's Blood, Nemophila, and many more to go!!! FYI they are all, all female bands.

When I listen to foreign music, I just listen and take in the the music. After hearing a few times I will look at the lyrics.
