You got it right! On The Ground is not a romantic song, when it talks about missing another person it means the young Roseanne. Rosé is a girl very close to her family and to music. Once she said that if she had to be a trainee again, she wouldn't do it, because it was so difficult. That is why she says in the song that she "regrets" (she misses her life being Roseanne). Still, she said that she is happy with the direction her life took, but that she will always remain humble, a true queen:') Rosé wanted us all to be able to identify with her song "we all want to be successful, but we don't have to go outside looking for "something"; what we need we already have in our hands" she said in her YT channel❣️

The Rosé in the white sweater was her past self, Roseanne, in the MV she threw the flower to the ground and then her older self (Rosé, wearing black and pink) picked it up and then she watched her younger self play the piano. Then Roseanne wrote "Rosé" on the mirror, which meant she wanted to be Rosé, she wanted to be an artist and became a traniee, and then in the MV we can see "Roseanne" instead of "Rosé" and no one is in front of the mirror, that means that the old Roseanne is now gone and Rosé misses her.

I hardly see anyone in the comment appreciating Jennie's solo and seems like they've forgotten how it became a mega success. Even though Jennie's solo was released in 2018, when blackpink was just starting to become a worldwide kpop group, her song still became a huge hit considering that she was the to first one to debut solo and blackpink was just a 2 years old group that time. She even made a trend in korea after her debut, it was the "Jennie hairclip". When she was promoting on music shows, she wears those shiny hairclips to match her elegant lewks. It was just sad that Jennie became the trial, she even got a lot of backlash before for debuting solo first and was accused of being the favorite. It was actually a lot harder to go first because she was the first one to test the water and the pressure was all on her shoulders. Just wanna appreciate Jennie since I hardly see one and make people realize how amazing this girlie is. On the other hand, I'm very proud of all the pinks with everything they achieved. I feels like I grew with them since I got to witness how they grow as an artist and a person. Especially Rosé and Lisa, ohmygod they became very mature. Hope Jisoo's solo will make her unique voice shine.

I think the keyword of this song is "stay grounded". It says “Love” literally on fire under Rosé’s swing as she reminisces her childhood swing, On The Ground has so many hidden messages, like Roseanne dreaming of becoming Rosé practicing her signature on the mirror and when she finally does she just wants to be Roseanne again, then her younger self throwing roses at Rosé to find her way back to the piano in the house where she grew up in and when she finds herself in her music again she starts floating over the field of white roses realizing she does have what she wants and so she goes back to BlackPink, among many others, like grieving for herself in the staircase to heaven around a bunch of Rosés wearing white dresses with huge roses on them, being emotionless at the beginning with the chandelier falling as she felt her own light did at some point, the endless glitz and glam of the theaters, the chandeliers shining bright and everything exploding, feeling lost and lonely in the limo, even the limo’s plate, she is talking to herself in the entire song, it is really beautiful and bittersweet even though when she explains it herself doesn’t sound that deep and dark, more like a bit of an exaggeration of her path to success and life story, u know?

I love how all of Blackpink’s solo songs are so different from each other. I think Rose’s song ‘Gone’ represents her more artistically wise but her song ‘On the Ground’ lyrically represents Rosé more. And Lisa’s songs and choreo definitely represent her musically wise and especially culturally with her Thai scenes and I love how she mentions Blackpink when she’s sitting on the throne. And Jennie’s solo is so catchy and she’s an amazing singer but I honestly think yg just gave her a catchy song and didn’t try to create a song that captures her talent and main position as the main rapper. After Jisoo’s solo, which will hopefully be a single album too, I hope Jennie gets another solo and it’s more rap focused since she is the main rapper. We haven’t seen what she’s fully capable of. It’s probably because, like teddy said in the documentary, at first they were just making songs for Blackpink that were supposed to be only bop, but now they feel they need to switch it up and tell a personally story. And Jennie and jisoo have not got to show what they’re capable at all, especially Jisoo. But you have to admit there’s a big difference in the rap lyrics in bps songs written by other writers vs the yg boy groups rap lyrics. Like it feels like bps raps are this typical girl group raps, watered down and soft, the only reason they work is because they’re delivered by jenlisa.

I love each of the girl’s solos cause in their own way, they are able to express themselves and the same time to share out great messages and here is what I mean: - With SOLO by Jennie, although yes it sounds like a break up song related to a love story, that’s not all there is about. OTG is a very deep song. It's not about romance, it's about Rose's journey and identity as Rose (the singer). The set, the chandeliers were references to all their music videos (as blackpink). The place where she played the piano was supposed to reference her home in New Zealand. She was visiting her home... recalling her old self, her dreams, how she's achieved everything now. If you watch her documentary, she said before that she won't return to Australia without making something for herself. She left Australia at the age of 15 after out winning 700 other competitors for the YG audition (which brought her to Korea to become a trainee). By far - Lisa's best vocals are in 'Hope Not' & 'You Never Know' Both of those songs are VERY deep songs. I think Jisoo did Clarity because it shows off her vocal skills. Check out her singing 'Yuki No Hana' (Snow Flower) - INCREDIBLE voice ind skills

What I understand in On The Ground is like, maybe when she was starting on her career, she had someone love, and that she chose her career over that love, now that she's on the top of her career, she realizes that everything she needs is on the ground. That's what I observe but the lyrics are mixed like she's telling us it's just about her career and the hardship.

Actually for Rosie's solo song "On the Ground", I think the meaning was that she has come so far but it wasn't as great as she thought it would be, (like you said). But also when it shows her talking to herself, I think it was her talking to her younger self from when she was a rookie. Like how Rosie says "I worked my whole life just to get it right, just to be like, look at me I'm never comin down." She is talking about how far she has come and just kind of talking to her rookie self saying that it will be okay and "You got this!" But overall she is happy where she is. Idk it was just my take on it. I love your content! It's amazing!! Keep ding a great job! I also love Jennie, Rosie, Lisa's solo, and I also really loved Jisoo's cover! ^w^
