You got it right! On The Ground is not a romantic song, when it talks about missing another person it means the young Roseanne. Rosé is a girl very close to her family and to music. Once she said that if she had to be a trainee again, she wouldn't do it, because it was so difficult. That is why she says in the song that she "regrets" (she misses her life being Roseanne). Still, she said that she is happy with the direction her life took, but that she will always remain humble, a true queen:') Rosé wanted us all to be able to identify with her song "we all want to be successful, but we don't have to go outside looking for "something"; what we need we already have in our hands" she said in her YT channel❣️

The Rosé in the white sweater was her past self, Roseanne, in the MV she threw the flower to the ground and then her older self (Rosé, wearing black and pink) picked it up and then she watched her younger self play the piano. Then Roseanne wrote "Rosé" on the mirror, which meant she wanted to be Rosé, she wanted to be an artist and became a traniee, and then in the MV we can see "Roseanne" instead of "Rosé" and no one is in front of the mirror, that means that the old Roseanne is now gone and Rosé misses her.

When I heard their solo's I was like. Jennie: Sassy, Seductive and the sense of a strong independent woman. Kinda like saying "You don't like me? I hardly see anyone in the comment appreciating Jennie's solo and seems like they've forgotten how it became a mega success. Even though Jennie's solo was released in 2018, when blackpink was just starting to become a worldwide kpop group, her song still became a huge hit considering that she was the to first one to debut solo and blackpink was just a 2 years old group that time. She even made a trend in korea after her debut, it was the "Jennie hairclip". When she was promoting on music shows, she wears those shiny hairclips to match her elegant lewks. It was just sad that Jennie became the trial, she even got a lot of backlash before for debuting solo first and was accused of being the favorite. It was actually a lot harder to go first because she was the first one to test the water and the pressure was all on her shoulders. Just wanna appreciate Jennie since I hardly see one and make people realize how amazing this girlie is. On the other hand, I'm very proud of all the pinks with everything they achieved. I feels like I grew with them since I got to witness how they grow as an artist and a person. Especially Rosé and Lisa, ohmygod they became very mature. I love how all of Blackpink’s solo songs are so different from each other. I think Rose’s song ‘Gone’ represents her more artistically wise but her song ‘On the Ground’ lyrically represents Rosé more. And Lisa’s songs and choreo definitely represent her musically wise and especially culturally with her Thai scenes and I love how she mentions Blackpink when she’s sitting on the throne. And Jennie’s solo is so catchy and she’s an amazing singer but I honestly think yg just gave her a catchy song and didn’t try to create a song that captures her talent and main position as the main rapper. After Jisoo’s solo, which will hopefully be a single album too, I hope Jennie gets another solo and it’s more rap focused since she is the main rapper. We haven’t seen what she’s fully capable of. It’s probably because, like teddy said in the documentary, at first they were just making songs for Blackpink that were supposed to be only bop, but now they feel they need to switch it up and tell a personally story. But you have to admit there’s a big difference in the rap lyrics in bps songs written by other writers vs the yg boy groups rap lyrics. Jennie's solo seems so timeless and I feel so empowered listening to it everytime. Rosé who is my bias has the classic and deep feel solo like you said. The message is very inspirational. Jennie was involved in her solo alot actually. she even re-wrote an entirely new (very long) rap verse for the "The show" online concert. Rosé co-wrote her 2 solosongs yes. she was also highly involved in the art direction and design of her album. There is a video on her own youtube channel where you can see all work behind it. Lisa also took part in the direction for her album. she also wanted the thailand scene in her MV. And she took part in the choreography. I love each of the girl’s solos cause in their own way, they are able to express themselves and the same time to share out great messages and here is what I mean: - With SOLO by Jennie, although yes it sounds like a break up song related to a love story, that’s not all there is about. The main point of the song is ‘I’m shining solo’ which is something Jennie tried to express the most in the song. This phrase is not only related to the love story itself, but it can be used in every context of life. Jennie herself shared that the message she cares to share with SOLO is that you don’t need anyone’s approval in life to be yourself and to shine. There are so many people in our life always trying to take us down, be it in general or in a love story, yet we must have the capability to say ‘we are shining solo’ aka we are shining on our own no matter what and nobody can take that away from us. It’s all about being confident in yourself and your choices, which I believe is such a great message to deliver. Jennie is a beautiful soul and thanks to her confidence, she was able to achieve so much so we all should be able to be confident and say that ‘we are shining solo’ in our life. That’s a beautiful message indeed. - With On the Ground by Rosé instead, the whole message is about standing on the ground, never forgetting your roots. Indeed, as you guessed, Rosé dedicated the song to herself or better say Roseanne, her before becoming Rosé of BLACKPINK. Not forgetting who she is as a person and realizing that it's good to chase after what you want, but maybe what you want isn't necessarily what you're chasing after. *Lisa's "Lalisa"* Telling and showing the world who she is and showing the different sides of "Lalisa". Her global status is also a huge part of who she is, but she's also not forgetting her roots. Thailand and Blackpink! She's embracing her Thai culture and heritage as well as repping Blackpink. Actually for Rosie's solo song "On the Ground", I think the meaning was that she has come so far but it wasn't as great as she thought it would be, (like you said). But also when it shows her talking to herself, I think it was her talking to her younger self from when she was a rookie. Like how Rosie says "I worked my whole life just to get it right, just to be like, look at me I'm never comin down." She is talking about how far she has come and just kind of talking to her rookie self saying that it will be okay and "You got this!" But overall she is happy where she is. Idk it was just my take on it. I love your content! It's amazing!! Keep ding a great job! I also love Jennie, Rosie, Lisa's solo, and I also really loved Jisoo's cover! ^w^
