A few details wrong about the meaning of the plastic hammers… these are sold in several cities thru the country to celebrate St. Joao (St.John) and has absolutely nothing to be compared to the Portugals day Celebrations where for obvious reasons is given more attention in Guimarães for the 1st king of Portugal Don Afonso Henriques.
