After I saw My Time performance, that’s when I knew that if Jungkook really wanted to, he could be one of the biggest solo pop stars in the entire world. That’s how majestic and iconic that performance is. Absolutely stunning. I have chills just watching it again.

I believe the same way we all know that he is a manifestation of all the 6 members in his personality and mannerisms, he is also a manifestation of all their talents coming together. All 7 members have their own unique strengths with jungkooks own strength being singing but jungkook has all those strengths from the members in him as well, just not as well developed as the members themselves. Like dancing, rapping, producing, song writing etc he learned from their strengths and makes it his own. He is someone who can do it all and continues to improve those strengths and that's why he is the golden maknae.

The interesting thing is jungkook recorded his vocals for stay alive on his own lol he sent them to yoongi who said he basically copy and pasted them into the song…. So jungkook creates all these amazing vocal harmonies and adlibs and just sends them over…. That just makes me laugh how yoongi said he copy and pasted his vocals in even though it’s not that simple obviously… but I don’t think ppl get how much work JK puts in when he’s recording … how much he prepares before he goes into record. I remember for the collab they did with the vocal line and snoop… jimin said ti focus on jungkooks vocals bc he prepared so hard and worked so much on his pronunciation and stuff like that… he takes it very seriously and does so much to be ready… and when they sing live you can tell bc his English is always perfect live singing. I adore that about him!

24:25 you know what’s genius about this My Time performance is that it’s representation of the lyrics and his journey and how it’s different from those his age. He starts off on one stage… at first he’s by himself…. And then slowly there’s hundreds of him reflected behind him all the different “selfs” inside of him… but they’re all a beat off from him…. Bc he’s not fully himself yet.. just starting to understand himself as a person.. then those go away and are replaced by the few dancers with him… no more screens… he’s got his boys BTS now… and they’re taking on the world together. Jk did some of the choreo for My Time as well lol but the moves we see all look like his arms are the hands of the clock … and even though he has BTS with him… he still has to grow alone… moving from one life stage to the next stage …. Which he literally does in the dance break…. And as he does that part there like 100 cameras on both sides of the stage… filming him from every angle… catching ever single move he makes… bc as he grows up in front of the world… everyone sees him moving to these new life stages …. Which has to feel suffocating sometimes… so then he gets to this new stage in life… and the images on the screen behind him line up with him more now bc he’s grown and understands himself better…. And the kinda outro he’s talking about that he’s found his time… and the choreo we see him taking little steps forward in the choreo… representing him continuing to grow… but finally at the end.. he solidified finding his “my time” by being inside his own clock… his time, his pace…. And he’s only going up… which is why he looks up at the very end… bc he doesn’t cares who is watching bc he found his time, and knows his past brought him here. Wildly artistic… I love it!!! 26:10 yeh the full song is exceptional… only thing that I don’t like is that the instrumental sits a bit heavy over jungkooks vocals towards the end and kinda are louder than his voice is and the vocal clinic he put on in this is crazy…. The amount of techniques and styles in Stay Alive is just nuts … he’s truly a vocal chameleon!!!

Yup, he actually said he felt like he was going to pass out or die each time.. bc not only did he do the 4 songs with the group first… but he was the first solo of the boys.. so he had to run off stage after to get touched up and changed for begin…. And run back up to the stage just in time to go straight back on stage… do that performance… he never got a chance to take a breather and the choreo is so aerobic and dynamic…. Poor thing… his stamina is no joke

Right after Stay Alive, I started crying. He is so talented and despite what he says about himself, he is a great artist and a great person. He is so handsome not only physically, but his personality and spirit are beautiful too! He has something special that I don't find in other artists. Since the beginning of my BTS journey, I have been attracted to him like a magnet. I remember the 15-16 year old Jungkook who wanted to move people with his voice. Well, he succeeded to do it. I'm so proud of him ! The songs he wrote are masterpieces and full of emotion, on stage he is so powerful and even if he sometimes "flirts" with the camera, he doesn't need to do much to attract attention. You could say I'm amazed and fascinated by him !

Begin is one of the most underrated BTS solos. I’ll never understand how a song about the maknae expressing his loves for his hyungs that was written off of a conversation jungkook had with BTS when he was like 15-16 about how his only pain… was seeing them in pain… and he started to sob 😢 when namjoon told the story on vlive… he said it was so sad and he hadn’t seen jungkook cry so much expressing his feelings… I guess everyone burst into tears and were all crying together… coming from their baby brother … it overwhelmed them.. even when rm told the story on that vlive… he started to tear up after changing the subject and standing up to fix his air conditioner or something talking about that and all of a sudden he said “talking about jungkook like that got me emotional…” and giggled. That namjoon clip was so sweet…. But yeh so this beautiful backstory and also the dance is insane… hobi said it was the most difficult choreo any of them had done at the time… the footwork is amazing!!!! But yeh it’s so underrated for some reasons

Yes Darling. As a (Caribbean) Army Mom who've been with them since 2015...on the cusp - before they hit "The Ellen Show" etc and BLEW UP in the States in '16? His song "BEGIN"....was so deep/touching and his 1st single performance as a teenager. Against his older more experienced 'Hyungs'. To this day? It will always be my No1. Above all his other Solos - to date and is why it was featured 'heavily' in their 'Get to Know BTS' Video. As the YOUNGEST....? He was the 1st to do a 'Solo' on stage. He nailed it on the /endurance/dance moves/while singing LIVE and here's a Golden Nugget that many 'Old School Army' may know but let's share it for any new Army: Bang Si Hyuk (Big Boss at the time) was watching Jung Kook (Kookie) carefully. After he performed "Begin" LIVE? Si-Si (lol) went on to state (not verbatim) ...."Yea. This Kid is the ONLY Member to date - who can do THE most intricate/EXHAUSTING dance moves? Yet sing PERFECTLY IN TUNE...he needs to be CENTER STAGE". *Bows*.....So Said? So done. 😊😊 After Kookie's 1st Solo of "Begin" ......Bang Si Hyuk solidified/advised them " While I know....You SEVEN already picked 'him' as your Front Man? There is NO DOUBT ...WHO CAN PERFORM THE most COMPLICATED DANCE MOVES yet still SING IN TUNE while Not Missing A BEAT". Begin: I don't know which performance I have watched, but some nuances of the choreo/movement seemed lost here (no disrespect to the creator). Stay Alive just didn't get the attention/recognition it deserved. Jk and Yoongi worked on it during "in the soop" the Yoongi said that Jungkook sent him the vocals as he himself was/had been working in the US "and I didn't change anything". Hadn't seen that duality video and was as transfixed as you were. Thank you so much for this warm and genuine reaction to our Golden Maknae.

Well said.. also “your eyes tell” is actually co-written and composed by jungkook … his lyrics are pure poetry.. it’s wild that it was supposed to be a song for his mixtape but he submitted it with the other BTS songs submitted for the Japanese drama and they loved it so much that they made it the theme song for it. Pretty amazing… he really knows how to highlight everyone’s strengths with their voices… seriously one of the best BTS ballads ever!!!
