I am so impressed with your research. You are the best historian so far on Lizzie Borden!

Thank you , Dave, for your wonderful videos. I am obsessed with the Borden murder and Lizzie of course.

Thank you for the kind words. In the beginning when I started researching everyone told me not to bother because everyone in this area (Fall River) knows the story. That's when a close friend of mine from Swansea gave me a newspaper article written years ago about a criminal investigator who grew up in Fall River and as a young fellow his family new Lizzie. Most historians cover the events on the house. I worked in Fall River as a supervisor at in one of the mills so I knew my way around the city. I decided to expand the story by locating all the places that Lizzie grew up in. I knew there was a fresh approach to the story with photos around the city to make the events come alive. I hope in some way that I succeeded.

Thank you for researching so thoroughly. I learned to love history from a college professor at K.U. He brought the stories of people to life.

Thank you for the kind words. If you want to check out some of my other history shows I have 12 different topics on KZbin. Just enter Discovering New England History - David Norton. The episodes are numbered. I can't record any new shows in the Channel 9 studio because of the pandemic but I'm using my time well by researching new shows all the time. Thanks again for watching!

The maids testimony makes no mention of William Borden visiting. Neither does Lizzie's testimony.

@@johndoe-wv3nu So who did people see who were not William?
@johndoe-wv3nu2 жыл бұрын
@@653j521 this case is 130 years old. There was no mention of William Borden at the trial, or before the trial, because there was no illegitimate son. There was no talk about a son in 1892, that's a recent rumor. This case is surrounded by rumor and they grow over the years. As you study this case be careful about sticking to facts.

I always go to watch this and realize it’s part 3… go to your channel, can’t find part 1. Repeat this once a week for six months.

Great presentation. I always wondered what happened between Abbie and Lizzie to precipitate this frenzied murder. And then to cover her emotions so well. Really sociopathic.

Great pictures ,you are very sweet. But William has never been proven to be Andrew's son. PlusEmma was gone 2 weeks when the murders took place.

Did William Borden attend the funerals of Andrew and Abbie Borden? His name is not mentioned as being at the wake or cemetery.
@davidnorton84594 жыл бұрын
From what I researched William Borden did not attend the funeral or cemetery. He was not listed in the immediate family and was not listed as a pallbearer at the funeral.

@@jaddae6357 She supposedly straightened it. Sounded as if she made the bed and such in anticipation of his return. The maid was doing the heavy work on the windows. Lizzie was supposedly ironing. This was a middle class home not an aristocratic home. The family worked hard, too.
