...I walked these streets quite often during my time in Germany with the Army 50 plus years ago (08 Nov 1971 - 18 July 1974)...I was in Nurnberg just about every weekend - or every other weekend...I was stationed in Illesheim (4/35 armor - part of the 1st Armored Division)...I'd take the little red shuttle train from Illesheim to Bad Windsheim and change for the Nurnberg Hauptbahnhof and walk these streets with my Canon F-1 SLR...good seeing them once more...last time I was there was 30 years ago, on my second trip back in 1994...there used'ta be a little covered 'gypsy-type' wagon just on the other side of the min street across from the Hauptbahnhof that sold a pair of white bratwurst for (IIRC 2 DM) with brotchen and plenty of good, spicy 'senf' - MAN!!! You could smell those brats long before you exited the station!!!
