I commend you for your love of history. It’s fantastic to see young people who do what they love and appreciate the history of how their loves have evolved. Young enthusiasts would be well served by studying the history of thrill rides and roller coasters. Arrow has done more for the industry than any other company, and by a wide margin. I’m impressed that you have such a deep appreciation of Arrow rides.

Town Hall Museum is one of my favorite attractions at Cedar Point for some reason. Ever since I was a little girl. We would go right before or right after riding the Mine Ride

Amazing to see how much park history this place has and that’s there’s more than just the coasters too.

I'm SO glad you made this video for your audience! I, too, had no idea this museum existed, but found myself wandering past it, and kinda poking my head in the door, thinking, "Hello? What's THIS?.....". Two hours later.... ROFL....I, too, got to meet the model maker, who was further along at the point I saw it, though still not operational. He was literally walking out the door, and (truly) I felt guilty (and said so) BUT....."do ya have JUST a minute???...". I mean, the poor guy was going HOME after a long day of dealing with this project, and here's yet ANOTHER dumba** Guest with some dumba** questions he's answered 40 gazillion times...but he was as NICE AS COULD BE. Truly. And I was so thankful to have had that half hour or so of his time. Going back (and bringing a buddy) this 20-22 July, 2019. Hope to run into you Shawn!

So makes me wish that Blackpool Pleasure Beach had a museum like this with all the history since it was founded in 1896

It would be fantastic, it's such a shame that both Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers don't have something like this

Up through the early 2000s you could play most of the old games like the baseball, horse race, fortune teller, nickelodeons, etc. and others. At some point, certainly by 2004, most of them were converted to display status.

Fun fact: The maze, or as you say, "cow pen" portion of Maverick's queue is the former loading platform of White Water landing. It had a round rotating loading platform with a concrete trough around it (like Thunder Canyon does). The platform was removed and filled with concrete.as you enter that portion of the queue if you look of to the left you can still see the concrete trough entering/exiting the once load/unload station.

I recommend the book "Cedar Point - The Queen Of American Watering Places" by David W. Francis and Diane DeMali Francis from 1995 (ISBN 0-935408-03-07). Good history book of the park, with a lot of pictures in it.

God, that ceiling is horrible. You think with all the money Cedar Fair has, they could at least make this look more like a gallery and less like a thrift shop. Cool video, though!

Thanks for sharing this. Been to Cedar Point a few times but never went to the museum. First roller coaster I rode was the Blue Streak in 1968 and took my son there in 2000 and his first ride ever on a coaster was the blue streak. I live about 1 1/2 hour way from Cedar Point so I guess I'll call it my home park. You should check out Kings Island too, I love the beast. If you truly love locomotives and trains you should watch this video of this museum of one of the master carvers if not the master carver in the world located in my home town. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYq8d4Gcm5qYaJI
