I’m so glad I found your channel. I have always played it safe when buying clothes. I tend to wear the same style, jeans and a top with flowers , always loose, boho style but toned down. I will wear dresses but usually always empire style or again, long and loose. I don’t enjoy shopping for clothes. I usually buy thrifted, hand me downs or Amazon. You both have opened my eyes to the real beauty of a single piece of clothing, the possibilities of what a piece could be and how artistic accessory items can be. I love how you both think out of the box. I believe I’m going to take some chances in the future, be a little brave and express myself by what I wear. Thank you for sharing your love of fashion with the rest of us. 😊

Brava to you for NOT shopping at Goodwill! I used to shop at Goodwill, until a couple of years ago when I discovered the Big Cheeses at GW make somewhere between $200 thousand and 1 million dollars per year (depending on what internet search you do). I also found out that employees with disabilities are often paid less than minimum wage (as low as 22 cents per hour), whistleblowers have been fired, and safety issues have led to tragedy. Now my fave thrift store is The Humane Society Thrift Store, also the fave of all our town which voted it the Best Thrift Store - even against GW! We also have thrift stores for hospice, Teen Challenge, and other local charities. I try to be even more ethical about where the little money I spend goes these days.

I'll check out the costume section next time I'm in a thrift store. I've been checking out the prom dress or wedding dress section hoping to find something to fit me and that I could alter like I saw them alter a white wedding dress into a beautiful gothic style dress. Haven't found one suitable yet 😀
