who else has this track record. So inspiring. Now I need to go watch every one of his films again.

I actually encountered Villeneuve when he made a surprise appearance to a packed audience for Dune part 1 a few weeks ago. Even after seeing Dune part two I am still in shock that I actually saw one of the GOATS of modern cinema with my own eyes. He was only able to speak for a few minutes before leaving.

Getting to watch the movie with him must have been an unbelievable experience, so jealous!

@@DiscoverMontréal unfortunately he was only able to introduce it and leave before it began.

I just love the fact that you used Tron Legacy's OST Finale from Daft Punk to underline how epic Dune is. Tron might not be the best remake, but I feel like Daft Punks work as Music Producers in this Film is highly underrated. Their music can really match and highlight incredible movies just like Dune. Absolutely timeless, both Daft Punks OST's and Denis Villeneuve movies...

Thank you for this video. It seem like you really enjoyed yourself making this one. 57min.. J'ai vue part 2, deux fois deja et j'ai deja hate d'y retourner. C'est vrm agreable de voir que le meilleur Realisateur du 'monde' en ce moment est Quebecois. F*****g right. Thanks again, keep the good work

After watching this one-hour tribute to Denis Villeneuve's work all I can say is that it took a masterpiece like this one to make me understand Villeneuve's contribution to cinema. Comme on dit en français, ça prend un génie pour en reconnaître un autre, ou comme dans ce cas-ci, ça prend un génie pour en faire connaître un autre. You deserve an Oscar for this one Chris!

You are too kind! So glad you enjoyed this and that I was able to properly showcase Denis’ genius. He’s one of the greatest artists to ever come out of Québec.

I must be blind, do you have a link to the original interview with Roger Deakins, his wife, and Denis?
@DiscoverMontréal6 ай бұрын
It’s called “Team Deakins” podcast on Apple or Spotify, and then search for the Denis Villeneuve episode.

He was born in Gentilly but has lived in Montreal since he was 18 and identifies it as his hometown, as he says multiple times in the video 🙃

Tut tut ! ; pas 'French Canadian' mais, Québécois.
@DiscoverMontréal9 ай бұрын
It’s a very common term for Americans to use and Denis calls himself both French Canadian and Québécois in the video 😁
