Why don’t we celebrate amazing individuals like Bulleh Shah in Pakistan? Why do we focus on Jinnah and invaders like Timor etc. Bulleh is the true hero of our country, if we had focused on his Islam interpretation (not wahabism imported from Saudi Arabia) we would not be controlled by mullahs/fake scholars and we would have a proud Sufi tradition that make pakistani’s proud. Who spread Islam in Sub continent? We have to thank Sufis like him!

Baba Bulleh Shah has nothing to do with the Raj politics of Pakistan. He is a Punjabi gem! For that matter Baba Nanak Ji, Waris Shah and the likes. Great documentary but please keep the politics out.

The documentary could have been better. Background music os overpowering and at times jarring. Ot has no link to Bulleh Shah or jos message, . Repeated display of dhamal by malangs gives an impression that dance was his only message. Bulleh Shah was muchore yhan that. Commentary should hsve been for the non initiated not scholars. A lot of people have no odea of Wahdatul wajood or shahood, tareeqat,aarfat or haqeeqat. It could have been more crisp with bettervisuals to be captivating with sustained attention. Last but not the least one would have liked to hear more of his poetry and its rendition in qawwali. I would be happy to discuss it further
