Discovery Princess INTERIOR Stateroom FULL Tour - Our 1st Inside Cabin - Hope Its Not Tiny!

In this video we show you inside our Interior Stateroom(that's what Princess call it) or more commonly an inside Cabin.
Now this is our first time having an inside cabin but seeing as this was already a pricey bucket list adventure we wanted to stay more on a budget.
Now the Discovery Princess did her maiden voyage in March 2022 so the ship is just slighty over a year old. And the big thing about Princess is the Medallion system they have in place and we show you how that also works with your room.
Will we be impressed? Is it tiny? or will we be purchasing a balcony for further cruises ?

I am on this ship with the same cabin in 2 weeks! Honestly we don't plan on spending a whole lot of time in the room. I've had a balcony before when we went as a family of 4 which was nice, but this is just the two of us and I think this is adequate.

Depends on the cruise. We had an inside on MSC Virtuosa and as it was December last year to Hamburg, Rotterdam etc from Southampton, we thought we wouldn't be spending much time on a balcony in the North Sea. Instead had the top drinks package so enjoyed the views from the various bars, and saved a fortune. If it was summer in the Med, balcony for us but winter in North Sea, inside is fine.

Superb video as ever just came back from a trip on the sky Princess and I have to say it was amazing. Very nervous for our trip on MSc vitousa in September as people saying it's a party boat .

Glad you had a great time Gary and can only speak for us personally but the 2 tines we have been on the Virtuosa we didn't experience a party boat feel. We would of hated that if it was. It was a nice atmosphere we thought. People were happy but not drunk or rowdy. But then again we can't be 100% that it's always like that just wasn't from our2 weeks. Just do what you feel best 😁

Thank you for sharing your impressions about this kind of inside cabin! I'm booked on Sky Princess next year, in a cabin that is the exact same layout as the one you had. Was really impressed with the size of it for an inside, which is why we chose it! I do have a question though: How did you find the temperature in the cabin? Were you wishing for a portable fan, or was the air con/climate control enough to stay comfortable? I'm the sort of person who turns the air con up all the way when I stay in a hotel, mind... 😂

Hi we sailed to Alaska so only used the heating element of it. You couldn't turn it off completely you always had to have some air blowing out then you set the temp yourself

@garybearphx no its tusayan, its a tiny town just by the entrance to the south rim, its basically a road with a few hotels and a couple of places to eat. But it was a nice escape from the noise of vegas. Where did you come to in the UK?

Hi Stacey and Kev. That is a really nice looking cabiin for being inside. We had an inside once and we would leave the TV on at night going to bed. Then in the morning, we could see what it was like outside without even getting out of bed. 😊. Thank you!

You really don't need a window or balcony unless your spending to much time in your cabin i only use my cabin to sleep shit shower and change or maybe an hour to chill on my own anymore than that and your wasting your time on board.

We usually get a balcony however this next cruise (November) is on the Discovery in an inside sideways. We are doing a back-to-back for the first time ever in an inside. On the Golden Princess (now gone) we did an Oceanview cabin and there was not as much room between the sides of the bed and the wall as I see in this room. That was my biggest gripe. Thanks for sharing!!

You wouldn't want to be inside a shower with a glass door, or near it, if the ship hits turbulent waters, for fear of slamming into it and sustaining potentially fatal lacerations.

We are going on our first ever cruise this month on P&O Azura. There's 4 of us and two cabins. We've gone for an inside cabin as the cost of window/balcony didn't feel worth it especially in the summer holidays. It would be interesting to hear from others whether the cost of the view/balcony is worth the extra money.
