Apparently the scientific community disagrees lol. I guess since everyone can’t do it, it is a genetic thing. Not everyone can just let their hair grow and it be that long, it will come to a length where it can’t grow any longer. I haven’t cut my hair in years and the last year it’s stayed the same length at my waist. It’s just as long as my hair will grow.

Judging by the comments, a lot of people don't get it. A lot of people do already have long hair to their knees or thighs. That's not what makes this family special, because all those people's hair will eventually stop growing around their knees or thighs, or back. This family's hair doesn't stop growing. If they didn't cut it, it could grow to the floor, it could grow 10 feet, 15 feet, even 20 feet long. The average persons hair doesn't do that. That's what the video is explaining. Their hair does not stop growing like most people's hair does.

but the hair on your head is a different type of hair unlike the rest of your body. they and don't grow the same length because of it. Yes, this hair has limits because it is body hair. But also tons of people could have hair like them, they just choose not to. my hair isn't too far off the oldest daughters hair length and I've seen lots more with hair that length too. So long hair is not a rare genetic condition.

+Julianne Richtone Some people can't get their hair to grow long like that because it will get to it's final length (If most of your hair was dead from whatever reason) Most of the time your hair will stop growing at the waist (My friend's hair stopped growing at her waist) Also if you were to never cut your hair at all in your life it'd look very weird and wonky because your hair grows at different lengths so like one side would be longer then the other (currently mine right now because I don't cut my hair regularly xD) and many other weird lengths that don't look right.

+Hana Gouda Have 1" trims every six months to ensure that your split ends are cut off but your overall growth exceeds what is lost through trimming. Wash your hair no more than twice each week ensuring that the natural oils from the scalp are able to make the way down your hair follicles, keeping them supple before being washed on the 3rd or 4th day - this will reduce hair loss. Keep your hair in a braid or a bun more often, having it loose on special occasions only - this will also reduce hair loss.

In my faith, we keep our hair uncut. So my entire church has hair that’s beyond their waist. If you never cut it, it’ll grow past your waist.

I'm from a country where MANY women's hair is to their knees or to the floor. My sisters hair grows so much and she donates it every year too.

My hair stopped growing when it was a bit above my waist, I dye my hair so that's how I noticed I didn't have a regrowth for 5 months. Then it started breaking off abvove my shoulders so I just freaked out and cut all of it shoulder length. Thankfully it's recovering now and growing reallu fast. Idk why I'm sharing this lol I just felt like it I guess.

I grew my hair long for the first time a couple years ago when my then 4 yr old granddaughter asked if we could grow our hair long together. I'd attempted many times in my life to grow it long but I never had the patience to get past the awkward in-between stage. It was amazing how easy it was when she asked me!!! ❤

Er you can cut it ... .. You can control the length... Drama
@mikip2829 жыл бұрын
Heres the thing: no they CANT control it. Their hair doesnt stop growing so even if they did cut it it would just grow straight back, got it? And thats kinda rude of you saying "cant control it get a hair cut" no ill will on you but pay attention to the video
@kathklim9 жыл бұрын
DONT BE A DUMBASS!! Does YOUR hair stop growing after you cut it???? MINE DOESN'T. If YOURS stop... YOU should be on this TV show too. Did I say they can control its growth???NOOOO STUPID. I said they can control the LENGTH through.. hey guess what???! Regular haircut like the rest of us !! USE YOUR BRAIN before shooting your mouth off.
@kathklim9 жыл бұрын
Oh no ill will towards you! It is just a knee-jeark reaction to stupidity in general.

I don't give two fucks about your age. You want to shoot your mouth off and you are fair game to me. Please just focus on your studies so that you can grow a little brighter, instead of spending time trolling on youtube.

The girls braiding their mother's hair reminds me of the one scene in Rapunzel! But honestly they're saying it's a genetic phenomenon? There are actually a lot of people who can grow their hair to extraordinary lengths, most people just don't know how to get there with proper hair care and patience.

The son is such a good sport . Having to have short hair while his sisters don't , like could u imagine the trip to the hair salon with his mom and sisters , getting his hair cut super short than watching his mom and sisters flip their hair forwards and be show it off . Like I remember having to get my hair cut once and my friend Melissa was with me who had thick hair past her knees after my haircut we literally walked outof the salon and she. Was like wanna see how long my hair is. And dropped her bun and it hit the floor It felt so unfair lol like imaginr how the son feels after a haircut watching his mom and sisters whip their hair around lol . Like especially his younger sisters to .

Dermatologist needs to learn math. Hair grows at a rate of about 0.5” per month - thus 6” per year. If hair is in active growth phase for two years, it will grow to a maximum length of 12”. Active growth of 10 years will contribute to 60” of hair. For most people, active growth phase is 5 years - thus 30”, or approximately to the hips or butt. Most people can grow their hair to the waist or tailbone. The woman in the story has long hair, but it’s hardly anything remarkable. In cultures where long hair is common, hair of this length is normal.

If a person has perfectly healthy hair/scalp, doesn't use heat tools, doesn't have split ends, and doesn't dye it, they could grow their hair as long as they do. Anyone can do it, it's not a rare condition. It's rare because not everyone wants their hair ridiculously long. The lady said "We can't control it" 🤣 well you can cut it lol.
