They are really trying to compete with the weirdness at nearby Skinwalker Ranch to the point of obvious staged absurdity. Just saw an older episode on Discovery channel where in the middle of a pep talk around a bonfire the boys are interrupted by a spooked herd of cows. Upon investigation they come across a deer carcass they try to pass off as a fresh skinwalker kill or mutilation. The head was “chewed” off and it was gutted. But the carcass was obviously old, stiff, and there was no trace of blood on the exposed flesh, even if they tried to make us believe it was sucked out, the flesh would be bloody. A nice touch was the observation that the sex organs were gone…alluding to cattle mutilations. The first thing a hunter does is gut his kill then perhaps take the head as a trophy. The carcass is hung upside down to drain blood. Now they surely knew this, and either this was all set up for the ratings or they were too ignorant to realize that somebody was messing with them. Don’t know which is worse ? Otherwise … love the show ! Well shot and fun to watch.
