So, long story short, I've working in the kitchens as a cook, now my career has taken me to move from Mexico, my home place, to Canada, And it seems like a dream but now that I'm married, I we really want a bunch of kids, I'm attempting to change my profession to a more "family friendly", I'll try to learn and become a self taught programmer, and likely, like any other thing in the world, I'll be lost in certain paths, but your videos and so intuitive, yet concrete and clear, makes me feel that this is the correct way to start, subscribed right now!

Never had I ever felt so much love for the subject. I've always known I _like_ math, there's something about it that just felt inherently interesting to me. But this video made me see how much I could love it! The weirdly strong feelings towards such an abstract topic! Thank you. A flame has been kindled.

It’s interesting to think that calculators are used in continuous math problems but are discrete math machines that are made to mimic continuous math in their outputs like what’s drawn on a graphing calc.

How did you get 40320 on 10! ? There are 10 people and 10 chairs On the first chair we can have 10 choices On the second chair we can have only 9 (because the first one was already sited) On the third chair we can only have 8 ...... and so on.... till we get to the very last chair where we use fundamental counting principle... so this has to be a problem of 10! Unless there is some tricky wording in the problem going on I would suggest to put disclaimer on the error in the video. tl;dw discrete math is a basic statistics course.

Actually continuous is theoretical acception. Everything is discrete in nature. The reason why you can't see natural events discretely is because your sense sensors are not capable enough to notice difference between two sequential signals.

Nobody says, "He made many logical arguments, therefore his 'LOGICS' are good." In fact, English Language Learners say, "most uses 'logic' is not countable, and a plural form is not appropriate." Likewise, the subject of mathematics, and all of the work and exercises within, are not countable. Math is like a liquid. Therefore the most appropriate plural form is simply, "Math."

I mean... did you really need to list "gender"? While biologists would consider sex to be mostly discrete, the word "gender" falls under the domain of sociologists, psychologists, political scientists, etc. I think most of those guys have a continuous view of it. At the very least, wading into a hot button topic in a math video is a little distracting.

would you say that Discrete Maths & Linear Algebra have increased your understanding of Calculus and Trigonometry?
