I am a shorty too - but also quite 'portly'. I have always worn heels but last year had achiles tendinitus which was partly caused by lawn bowls and apparently from wearning heels. I now can no longer wear heals and have discovered the wonder of brogues and embelished flat sandals/shoes just to still have the glitz and glamour1

Jo, I am 5.2, and I always wear a platform or heel. I just feel more myself, and more confident, most importantly. I am just 5ft Jo and 70 this year. You looked fabulous in your winter white outfit but I think the coat you tried on in the shop overwhelmed you. I am 5 foot one and a half and the same age is you. I recently had an accident and tore the meniscus in my knee so no high shoes for me. Most of the time I manage with a pair of Uggs in winter and flip-flops in summer, but I love the idea of the shoes you were describing :) x

I don't think you need to change anything about your style Jo, and I mean that in the best possible way. You are unique and an original. Personally the furry coat overwhelmed your tiny frame and would need a massive alteration, you look so much better in the coats you already have... and there are plenty.
