I like this interview it helped a lot. I think I will try and send a few cards in to TAG. My 130 card got a really bad grade recently I was not happy with that company. It is what it is , I pulled the card and took my best care of it. It was already damaged when the card company put that card in the box. Have a good day!!!! We’re Rollin !!!!!! Yee Yee

I’d like to see how they stack up against rare edition, rare edition got pr from burbank and tag hasn’t really had anyone, so I’d like to see how that pans out, personally I like the tag slabs better then rare, and they’re far better then csg, hga, and sgc

ok im sorry this video did not explain how any card gets the grade it gets and im gonna tell you right now out of the horses mouth i chated with a tag employee after i got ny grades looked at the dig report and was confused and dissapointed...it will be included in a reply here..

me: I am writing as to the grading of cards. Here's the number I have for its report I believe N8200198. it's a shohei Ohtani card that scored over all 958. can you please explain how that grade came about because I am looking at the report and all the grades are 980 and above. It did get 954 for front centering but that was the lowest score. Is the overall grade just basically the lowest score no matter if it's front surface or back bottom edge because I am really confused it seems like the over all grade should reflect the average of the individual grades more accurately and it does not please tell me what I am missing about how you arrived at ,,, 958 for that card mainly because when I calculate the average for all the grades in the report it should be in the 985 range and the 950 score appears more as an outlier that should maybe be thrown out? thank you. ​ tag rep: ​Thank you for reaching out! In TAG's grading system, scores across subgrades do not average out, they compound, with every deduction across scoring categories taken into account in the overall score. In our system, dramatically lower subgrade scores on cards are weighted, as major deductions are large factors in the overall grade and condition of the card. Generally, a TAG graded card will not grade significantly higher than its lowest subgrade score due to a prominent deviation. In this case, you are correct that the lowest overall subgrade score is the primary factor in the card's overall grade. While a 953 front centering score is still within Gem Mint territory, it is the card's lowest subgrade, and thus carries the most weight in the overall scoring. We hope you find this information helpful regarding how your cards graded the way they did, as we strive to present a transparent and consistent grading experience to our collectors. me: ok well what about this Jordan card cert N1194079. it states that the lowest back grade is 937 because of the corners when I went to look at the scores for the back corners none of the scores were below 958 I believe how did the final overall score for back corners drop all the way to 937? tag rep: Once again, compounding. The overall score is affected by the Back Top Right corner's 960 score as well as the Bottom Right corner's 958, and even, to a lesser extent, the 988 score of the Back Top Left and 992 of the Back Bottom Left. The 958 sets the compounding bar, the 960 drives it further down, and even the higher scores, as they have slight defects from a perfect grade affect that as well. To put it more succinctly, two 950 level subgrade scores do not equal 950 overalls, but rather, the deductions which bring those qualities to the 950 level add onto each other to bring the overall score below 950. me: but how do you explain the final grade was 937 and nothing close to that number was recorded anywhere in the back report? Ok I'm starting to understand thank you, why is any information like this no where to be found on the site or anywhere besides on this chat?
