Discussing the Pedersoli 1886 Second Trial

Well, as I explain in the video, there are issues with showing you how to sight in a firearm with open sights. But I hope this discussion answers a few questions while also sharing some much better results. I was able to shoot a 1 1/2 inch group as well as a 2 inch group at 100 yards with a little practice. The 1886 Winchester reproduction by Pedersoli is a capable hunting rifle and I hope to test some reloads this winter and see if I can do better still.

This is the problem when a company like utube starts to impose it's strange values on the producers of excellent and informative videoes, while I can see the wisdom in shutting down videos that are clearly against the law, such as showing how to get into a house without using a key, I find it odd that the censors should allow such videos, yet penalise makers of legitimate historic / safety videos which do not break the law in any way, it would be nice if a sensible and balanced could take over utube and restore common sense. On a lighter note, this video was most welcome, and I hope your weather soon clears to a more shooting friendly condition, Stay Sane! Chris B.

Also, I own that same rifle. My most accurate hunting load it in 45-70 is Hornady Brass, CCI 200 LR primers, 49.5 grains of IMR3031 topped with a Hornady 325 grn FTX bullet. The rifle from the bench shoots 1 moa or better depending on me.

How do you like the pedersoli 1886 quality. Any issues or cons you can share? How would you compare to the Browning or Winchester Miroku built 1886s?

KZbin has us by the balls. I will admit that here I am on KZbin, but I certainly wish we could move such content to other platforms such as Rumble.

@chaecoco2 I'm with you on a friendlier platform. Unfortunately, listening to Mr. Bellevue, he's hasn't made a dime on Rumble. I make about $150 per month for powder, shot, and gas to the range. You know what gets me about this is that about a month and a half ago I ran across a channel that had a doctor that was doing studies on the female orgasm. His video showed everything except the woman’s face and I mean everything. Any minor could have seen that crap but we can’t watch someone adjust the sights on a rifle. Utube can say what they want but this isn’t about any kind of protection, it’s total censorship
