I enjoyed the humour in Parade too. Thanks for showing us the Jacobus Vrel paintings-they are very much as I had imagined them based on Cusk’s descriptions. One more thing: unlike you, I found the narrative structure of Parade quite satisfying.

It's so refreshing to hear your thoughts and reactions to it -- you encourage me to relax a bit more with my reading and accept the art as it is. I so much appreciate your presence here :-)

On my channel, I usually spend only a couple of minutes talking about each of the books I read, but I do like to read closely and revisit passages and I enjoy the opportunity to explore more deeply.
