Few corrections : : 1 ) Spending 2 years time in Delhi is not necessary ... you can be posted in foreign location after 8-10 months of joining but not through regular vacancies which are reported in every 4 months 2 ) Salary varies from 275k - 400k lacs ... like my friend posted in a European country gets 380k ... ( Credit to hike in foreign allowance in oct 2021 ) 3 ) Luggage of 4600 kg is allowed . 4 ) Reservation for children of MEA officials is only available in NIT not IIT ☺☺

@@ownerofblackpearl8083 i dont know about the real allowance but i am syre that allowance was to be revised in the year 2020 as the ongoing allowance was from 2018 and 1800 to 2500 doesnot makes sense to me considering the inflation and infact India meh tak DA revise hogya. And yeas ASO kay bacho ko Triple ITs and NIT meh hi reservation milta hai not IIT so may be the guy is right

Stop creating MEA a dream job. Other post like income tax officer and CBI inspector can provide better facility not in monetary terms but in perks. MEA just give you salary but no power under law. There is no doubt MEA is a very admirable job but other post are somewhat better in all terms.
