Fun fact: Mikey use to whisper "disenchanted" in the band members ears while they slept until Gerard agreed to put the song on the album. And I'm really glad Mikey loved the song enough to do that. Cause it's now my Favorite MCR song.

I can't imagine how many lives MCR has saved. I remember days when everything seemed so dark and gloomy, like existence didn't matter. And that was when bands like MCR and Linkin Park gave me strength, gave me hope, gave me a reason to live to see another day. And though I'll admit, I don't listen to them as much as I used to, sometimes not at all, but they will always stay close to my heart. The world may be ugly, but they are beautiful to me.

people save themselves, dont discredit them. music causes distraction, but if they truly wanted to die, a band wouldnt save them, they'd die. congrats to the brave souls that survived!
@alysonscherer26164 жыл бұрын
@@daytonkinas7285 facts i don't listen to this music anymore i listen to rap and lil peep and whatnot but when i used to listen to emo and metal and whatever there was a quote from chris motionless. it was something like "if you've ever been on the brink of self-harm or suicide, it's you who pulled you from the ledge. you saved yourself. i did not save your life. my music did not save your life. you did." i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure it was chris and he is 100% right in saying that. edit: not to mention, they have no idea who you are, so they're not saving YOUR life, or anyone's for that matter. it's how you're perceiving it. i have depression and anxiety. i've been there before. what i've learned is that we're always blaming the bad things on ourselves and the good things on other people (take this as an example-- you're projecting these feelings of you being proud of yourself having survived mental illness and its effects onto a band, or a tv show, or something that literally has nothing to do with you personally. even though you're the one who lived. the band didn't make the pills you wanted to take into placebos, they didn't jam the gun you were thinking of blowing your brains out with, they didn't stand behind you and grab you when you were gonna jump off that building. somewhere, YOU found the resolve not to end your life, not a band or tv show. you saved your OWN life.)

Am I the only one jealous about these adults telling about the nostalgia they have when they were teenagers how bands like MCR, PARAMORE, LINKIN PARK, FM STATICS, GREENDAY, THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS etc saved them during those times. I wish I got to experience that. I wish I was born a little earlier.

Yeaaah... I definitely agree. I was 14 years old when I first listened to this song and my only problem is to learn how to play this song on guitar. And now, I'm 25, I don't even have the time to play this on my guitar. Full of work loads, full of problems about life. Sigh!

It's been so long since I've heard of this song. Wow. More than 10 years? I may not be the same person who only loves rock music back then, now I've opened doors to other genre, but hearing this makes me teary eyed, old memories coming back. It's true, you'll never forget your roots and where you came from. MCR is part of my teenage life. 💕

if im so wrong (so wrong so wrong) how can you listen all night long? (night long night long) now will it matter after I'm gone? Because you never learned a god damn thing your just a sad song with nothing to say about a life long wait for a hospital stay well if you think that I'm wrong this never meant nothing to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@fatimaazhar8057 Жыл бұрын
This song helped me through some of the darkest days, when i was giving up wanting to end it all and they lyrics feel like gerard talking directly to me, talking me out of my thoughts, if i'm so wrong how can you listen all night long? how will it matter long after im gone? because you never learned a goddamn thing, its like saying his words are to help us through the pain not surrender to it. and the prolly my favourite part " you're just a sad song with nothing to say about a life-long wait for a hospital stay well if you think that i'm wrong, this never meant nothing to you" here he's calling you out of living like a sad song and just to die in a hospital somewhere, he's challenging you to get up and start making a change. yes, making a change starts with you. It starts with deciding that you're not gonna give up, that you're gonna actively work to make it better. any of you struggling out there, I hope you can find the strength within you and the willpower to push through, i know you can do it
