Plus I like the fact when Disgaea refers or breaks the fourth wall. Like in D4 where Gig refers of The Demon Path and recommends to play Soul Nomad or when Valzy gives Desco facts and tips of how to be a final boss.

Because in Disgaea 1 they put in a E after her name. But in La Pucelle Tactics, which is her own game, she is just called Prier. Thats WHY everyone is going by the original name.

I know..I had a big grin on my face when I heard Yuri voicing as Gig once again xD Made my heart melt...! Yeah I know,I'm fan of Gig but also admire Yuri. Alteast I admit it! If they ever replaced Yuri I would be sad...because he does such a damn good job for Gig,his japanese VA isnt as bad,but I'm so attached to Yuri's voice with him.

GIG IS FREAKING BADASS AND HIS VOICE IS AWESOME ALONG WITH HIS LINES. Though against Priere, it is hard to say who would win. I like em both too much to decide a true victor, though I guess if I had to pick it would be Gig. Kinda wish Priere acted more like her human self in the cutscenes too, since she WAS in the top dlc wants in human form.

I like how Gig always stomps in his appearances throughout the series. Disgaea 3 seemed to be the exception to the rule, but as far as dialogue goes he wasn't into it because he was searching for Revya. Also Revya's dialogue later implies that he still could have destroyed the world if he wanted so Gig is definitely up there as one of the strongest characters since in D2 he made even Laharl's team look like weaksauce compared to his power. Being a God and all, I guess he's in a class of his own. He even called the "Overlord" title lame at some point in Soul Nomad.

You can reincarnate Priere with her La Pucelle personality. Also, in terms of in-game stats, for HP at least, Priere has more than Gig.

Do you use some kind of pre-determined team or do you just use the standard 10-man base panel? I haven't seen any videos on here of battles themselves.

Nope! When I first started this DLC,I assumed it was going to be that way as you mentioned. But then I saw the Medic and Necromancer cutscene,the Main Hero B and Pink,and I don't have neither of em in my game. So you can still view these cut scenes[as many times as you like from re-doing the battles],without having Any of the other DLC characters in these cutscenes. Of course you can't recruit them in this DLC,which is obvious since it's meant for King krichevskoy.

A shame Priere is a pushover in this DLC both personality and cutscene power wise. The Priere who as a human randomly and without even trying become an overlord just for accidentally kicking too much ass just for fun wouldn't act that way or gets pushed back that easily as a full blown demon.

Last i checked, Gig was strong enough to make LAHARL worried in D2. If your strong enough to pierce Laharl's pride and make him think logically, then you are powerful.

And im not saying that Laharl is stronger than Priere, im saying that Gig is just that powerful that Laharl puts down his pride almost instantly.

@@anexplosion5436 ultimately is all about presentation and hype. There's many stronger than Laharl but hype and being a fan favorite/game mascot after the prinnies gives Laharl cutscene powers. As for Gig, he does have a reputation as he ultimate badass to hold up and would undermine his status as the ultimate force of his universe to not go around bitchslapping people who merely are regular overlords like laharl. He is not like Zetta who too is ridiculously overpowered but his sheer stupidness, lack of common sense and goofiness on top of being an overprotective dad makes him ripe for being defeated through gags either due he was still a book or because Petta related shenanigans. Anyways, my point was that Priere's presentation in disgaea has always been wildly inconsistent with how she was in La Pucelle. She was headstrong, strong willed, would get mad and kick even the ass of the most overpowered guys around the place and as said before, just did that and accidentally become an overlord without even trying through sheer badassery as she loves herself a good fight and couldn't help but get a bit carried away beating the strongest of demons. It would be hard to gauge powerlevels due gags and weird fluctuations like being able to nuke entire fleets of enemies only to then job to a semi-generic and get a silly ending, but going purely by genuine actions alone, I would say Priere would be pretty damn high on the list by virtue of her achievements. At the very least comparable to Zetta who too gets nerfed in his bonus guest appeareances and more than able to take on not too unfavorable terms Gig and have a good time at it as she can be rather rude and battleloving at times. After all, for all his badassery, Gig too could feel fear, get bested and ended up killed by Revya in the "good" ending of the demon route as he/she grew stronger than he was after getting bored of a lack of things to do due complete annihilation of life.

+Dianne Renard I was not using Laharl as a power gap representor. I was saying that his power is so strong that Laharl (who, has been seen to keep his Pride up against Priere by the way) was actually showing visable fear at Gig. My point is not that Gig is strong, its that he can manage to worry Laharl when Laharl wasn't worried by Priere due to his sheer pride.

Gig is always presented as fear itself for everybody and the only time he doesn't is in disgaea 3 where he actually follows the soul nomad ending and is being a rude but good hearted guy trying to do something nice for revya. So yeah, even Laharl, the resident egomaniac asshole would tremble against somebody who is always presented as being being so fear inducing that makes even battle junkies and bigger than the universo egos get worried

No problem. You basically upload your character to the tournament[just like you do with your pirate ships],then you are asked to pick nine characters for your party. These characters are actual Disgaea players who have uploaded their characters. All players are divided into four difficulties: Generic Demon Level,Advanced Demon Level,Aristocrat Level,Overlord Level. I'm honored to a part of the Overlord level xD Once you have your party,you can go through these maps against Disgaea/Nis chars.

Because Gig is more awesome than Fenrich? That's my only conclusion to this. That and Gig doesn't get enough showtime when it comes to cutscenes. So seeing Gig do his thing is a BIG DEAL. It's similiar to a solar eclipse. As for Fenrich...it's an everyday thing.

This may be a stupid question, but do you know if you need the dlc to view a particular strain? For example in one of your other videos I saw the prism Red scene. I have NISA but not Pirohiko nor Prism Red, so would I still have that scene and battle if there is one?

The hell is this? I don't remember if this is what Gig sounded like in Soul Cradle, but why did they cheap out and change Prier's voice actress? Worse, what are those lines? Prier was a dominant angry angry girl as a human... and that only grew a thousand fold when she became a mahou emperor. The exchange between Prier and Gig could have been so damn cool if they had actually kept her in character... but instead we get THIS? wtf?

Gig's English VA has always been Yuri Lowenthal. You also have to keep in mind, that it's been a LONG time since Yuri has played the role of Gig[can't mention Disgaea 3 because his English VA was not put in that]. And the voice director,probably didn't pay close attention to Every tone of voice of Gig's in Soul Cradle. This can be said for Some returning characters from the previous Disgaea/NIS games. You can't honestly expect the VAs to Sound Exactly how they did from x amount of years ago. As for Prier, it's probably the same with her VA. I never played La Pucelle so I can't say much about her.

ringthenoise Sure I can, they are VA's, that's their job. Why hire them at all if they can't actually play the role? That said, I watched the other nether battle parts and many of them are as bad as this one. Even Valvatore that did his voice fairly recently sound awful in this DLC. But, no... it's not only the fault of returning VA's that can't be bothered to do their jobs properly... the main issue I have is with the choices for VA's for characters where they aren't using the original VA's. The voice acting in this DLC is soo bad, I haven't checked the Japanese version yet so I can't say if this is just a problem with the western release or if this is also the case for the Japanese one.

ExodusCore Lol! You must not fully understand voice acting. You're basically saying, that it's Yuri's fault for aging and his voice sounding "different" after god knows how many roles he's done after he recorded Soul Nomad. But whatever. Don't know why you're upset about the lack of Voice acting quality, it's been this way since Disgaea 2. This is why we have japanese voices as an option. Can't please everyone.
