Honestly, it makes me sad they won't do a remaster of Soul Nomad and the world eaters :( One of the best games when it comes to the good ending and the demon path ending. Not a lot of games even attempt to do this type of route. It's always just, "a what if" or a "this is the ending you get from not saving person A " etc. The Demon path just shows the word in a dark, twisted sense than the original story. Which is crazy and I loved it for it, because you, the protagonist, caused that to happen.

Gig is pretty much confirmed to be stronger than Baal. How? Laharl beat Baal, and Gig completely outclasses Laharl. I'd say he outclasses Overlords in general to be honest. The one character that is confirmed to be in that universe that I still find to be a wild card though, is Chou-Chou. Protagonist of the Mugen Souls series. No one knows how strong she is compared to Overlords...even though it seems, as a rule, gods are stronger than Overlords in general. So....she's probably Gig-level or higher...

Lucian Kamizono It doesn't work that way. Laharl and Mao were even in strength. In Disgaea 3, Mao defeated Gig. Not to mention we don't know if DLC is even canon or not. One thing for sure we know is Laharl is stronger than Baal considering it IS canon.

In the case of Disgaea 3, it was primarily due to Gig not being used to fighting without Reyva that he lost. In 4 and D2, he had grown used to it, therefore eliminating the disadvantage.

Disgaea3 cast can beat him :/ dunno if its just for the shake of the plot so Revya can come out or Disgaea3 cast really Strong enought to make him pissed :/ . I mean. in here he just talk lightly after you beat him, but in Disgaea3 he recognized MCs Power and feel pissed :/

Ranking goes: Tyrant Valvatorez > Valvatorez = Krichevskoy > Gig >= Full-powered Zetta = Overlord Priere >= True Zenon (straight up beats Laharl in the canonical main story) > Laharl.

To be fair, Laharl's not really in his best shape when Zenon beats him. All he really had to eat were the herbs Etna wanted. And with every battle, he gets hungrier and hungrier until he can't even laugh like his normal self anymore.

I always tinked gig was weaker than most of the overlords. Since most of his enemies were weak. And the combat capabilities from the people inside the game... Like the brother of Marona's friend. The witch Asagi The guys from the story (dont remember the name.) But it seems the devs like the idea of him being stronger.

@@Mk-it6cr yes thats why i said the enemy’s are not all insane powerful guys, Since he destroy mostly human and equal on power enemy’s. The brother of marona friend his not that powerful since he couldn’t destroy the weakened last boss from maronas game, The stronger enemy’s are gig friends. I mean overlord from other franchises do destroy worlds and create them , but they are canonically weaker than gig. In the game gig power seems different from the powers of overlords.

I wouldn't say a bad OC, he is a god of death after all. So that's his excuse :p But there's more to Gig. If you've played Soul Nomad and the world eaters, from start to finish. From normal route to demon path route, you get a better understanding of his overall character.
