@@zuralani1 blizzard knows that witch's brew is an echo card. The reason they don't want to reuse some keywords from old expansions is that they want players new to the game to be able to know what more cards mean when they start playing. Think about the new player experience: you already have to learn I would guess about 15 keywords which are either core keywords (e.g. taunt or charge) or keywords from previous expansions which they have decided to maintain (e.g. lifesteal or rush). That alone probably seems fairly daunting. Now imagine if every 4 months a new player has to add one or two more words they have to learn. I imagine Blizzard think that this would cause more and more potential new players to be put off trying to get into hearthstone and that's the last thing blizzard wants. It's different having a new keyword for a particular expansion, because blizzard will advertise and describe that keyword at length in the promotion of the expansion and it will be discussed by the community a lot before and during the expansion. As soon as the game starts moving towards another expansion, the community and developer attention to that keyword will drop off, and it's at that point that new players joining the game for the first time might feel confusion about that keyword, so this is the point where Blizzard's policy suggests they should stop using that keyword. That's the logic - I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it, but I believe that's a decent overview of Blizzard's stance on it.

If a new player sees a card with echo for example, then sees a card like witch's brew, they may think that there must be some difference between the two since they are worded differently. As a returning player, when I first saw witch's brew I thought that maybe it meant repeatable once this turn. This is because I didn't know about when each keyword was released or that they pick and choose which keywords to reuse.
