A lot of people still refer their friends, parents, kids, etc to a dealership that they feel great about, or a salesperson. I've known several families that had a salesperson that every single one of them went to when they needed new cars. Not to mention the individuals that get underwater on a car and then trade it in for a worse loan a year later.

Idk I have a few customers that love me that have bought 2-3 cars with in months and I’ve made a decent commission of them and they know they will say I know you guys have to get paid , the. They stop by and bring me a bottle of liquor or give me a gift card to a restaurant etc, then you have the unrealistic customers that haggle you to the point where you are not making any gross profit in the car yet they think you are ripping them off and will burn you on the survey, AND will give you headaches after the sale is done.
@timtimber5271
@timtimber5271 26 күн бұрын
No he’s valid on this. It takes a while to build up clientele. Meaning he sells cars to certain people and if he does a good job those people will refer their friends to him. He also sells higher end cars, so he’s selling to richer people that will be more likely to buy a new car more often. There’s a reason Caleb didn’t push back on that when he said it. Caleb’s been in sales too.

Cars should be treated like houses. It's very rare to build your own house, almost everybody buys one already built. Which is basically buying used instead of new. The exception is probably condos where new constructions may be bought slightly more often but still not more than "used". But car dealerships would fucking riot if that were the case 😂

I had to buy a car recently, and I said they had to match the msrp from the actual manufacturers website and not upcharge me (it's happening to many dealerships now) and they didn't. So positive experience there. Good dealership - didnt try to sell me other things, I knew what I wanted car wise, what I wanted to spend and negotiated as well, but it should be a crime to go through a third party just to order a car - absolutely ridiculous and a round about way to do it. Not all countries even follow it either so good for them. We should just rid of the middle man in most situations.

When my wife and I where looking at new cars, they'd try to sell us cars we didn't even want or unsure if we even wanted them. Even better I stated it's going to be her daily driver not mine and kept talking to me about the car. I told them the only things I care about is if she likes it and is reliable. I'm no car expert, just an enthusiast, and knew generally more about the cars than they did.

I don't care for salesmen in general, but the people buying things have the responsibility to do research and know how financing works because they are the ones choosing to sign for the loans. What really got me hooked on Financial Audits was seeing relatively normal people get into difficult situations that Caleb would help guide them out of and give hope to. The early episodes of this show taught me so much about personal finances and savings strategies, but I haven’t learned a thing at all in the last 20 episodes because the focus now seems to be bringing on the most absurd guests who are too delusional or insincere to want to get better. Im not gonna lie… i kinda wish caleb spent more time educating people on why certain choices or beliefs about money are irresponsible. For example, instead of just roasting them about how high an interest rate is, do the math for the term of the loan and tell them how much money is being thrown away to interest. Help them realize what about their choices are unwise. Maybe some people do better with the whole tough love thing, but i feel like giving more eduction and freeing them of ignorance may empower them more (and teach us that are watching). Some of this information is totally foreign to people and they need a good foundation to build upon. Im sure its in the budgeting class online but it would probably help viewers understand as well. ❤

I subbed a while ago and stayed because in most of your shows, it usually does show you care and you have the best interests in mind for the people you audit, and I get that you’ve had to talk to a lot of exhausting people the past few months who come on only to waste all your guys’ time, and I can only imagine how hard that can be trying to help someone who didn’t want to actually help themselves in the end. But at point, no matter who comes on, it just seems like your team is more focused on just degrading their character from the get go and making a show of it. I don’t know where the heart has gone since around the time you reached a million.

The show has an extended informed consent process so the people know exactly what they are signing up for. During the post show they actually do more educative work. @@TSPage I have been watching these for a while now, I have probably seen almost all of them. The last few episodes before this one, I was becoming increasingly frustrated with the way in which they were approaching these guests. I felt that education was giving way to so called "entertainment". Although the amped up angry Caleb shtick is getting a little old now. They claim to want to help the viewers, but you can gain little from watching someone being shouted at for the best half of an hour. At points some guests were visible confused and they made no attempt to help them understand in the moment, which also leaves the viewers none the wiser. I understand the metamorphosis taking place on this channel, they've got to make it entertaining to get views, I just hope they don't lose their original ethos.

The slavery thing was a bit uncomfortable. You are talking to an African American so you might need to be more mindful of the language used even though you clearly were not making that type of connection on purpose. Also, incarcerated individuals are allowed to be enslaved under current law in many states where they get like $2 a day and no way to opt out of working. Just saying 🤷‍♀️ 😉
