People wonder why landlord's charge a lot of money for rent these days. There's a lot of apartments in Manchester that are like this or worse, due to the modern day scumbag. It costs $6-$8000 to renovate something like this between materials and labor. Then you hope the new tenants won't trash it again as society is in a downward spiral.

I'm not sure what it was , but it'll likely be $1800-$1900 after its renovated is my guess. The new owners paid $498k for it.

I feel bad for the kids having to live like that. The apartment is disgusting. Hopefully their mother will get some help for the kids and herself. Looking at this in my opinion Mom must have serious depression. The landlord could have done a better job with the upkeep of the property.

So that refrigerator can be saved for cheap, when the freezer works and the fridge doesn’t, it’s because of ice, that one needs a new “thermistor” it’s a cheap part and very easy to replace. The door dispenser parts are also cheap. Just keep in mind when it melts there’s going to be a pretty big puddle on the floor. Don’t unplug it unless you have a bunch of towels ready. Or put it into a plastic kid’s pool.

How does ANYONE let their stove top get to that point? Short of letting pans just boil completely over, and then not even making even the most basic effort to wipe around the burners, you'd have to really try to let things become that filthy. Also, hopefully the owner will either purchase a smaller refrigerator, or more the stove a few inches to the left so that the new tenants can actually open their oven.

I’m not too familiar with section 8. But from what I understand is that the state or whoever it is that pays the rent for the tenant obviously some type of social service this being said can’t the landlord contact section 8, especially when there’s children involved to tell him that the children might be in some type of crisis Sounds like the mothers mentally ill I figured there might’ve been some type of caseworker that landlords can contact when their section 8 to discuss the welfare of their tenants. Maybe there would be some type of intervention. Before it gets to this. This is sad poor kids
