OMG, never ever stay at the Flamingo. Here is my story. About 5-6 years ago stayed in Flamingo for 2 nights. First night was ok, but the "suite" they upgraded me to looked like it came straight out of the 1970's. Second night they put me in a go suite. Nice room UNTIL the next morning while taking a shower, I heard the toilet flush above me and black water started dripping in my shower through the access panel in the ceiling. Called maintenance, no one showed up. Went to front desk, they couldn't refund my room because I was on a group rate. They did give me a $25 voucher for breakfast. About 2 hours later, explosive diarrhea. If given a choice between the Flamingo and a hostel. , choose the hostel.

I literally went and cancelled my booking for the Flamingo after watching this video. Even if I don't get a room as bad as that, I don't want to stay in a property that would put a paying guest in that room. And the queue just to check in?!?! Crikey! I'd go full Karen.

One of the most ridiculous things to come out of this is the revelation that floor 26 used to be a smoking floor for decades. Evidently they just up and changed it to non-smoking without so much as cleaning the rooms. Crazy.

If you really want a horror show for that room, buy a blacklight flashlight, turn off the lights and check out all the hidden stains. Especially check out the wall by the toilet for spatter spots. Even most high end hotels miss those.

This has really opened my eyes Jordan about the Flamingo Hotel. I can't believe that they would rent rooms in this condition to anyone. Another thing is what do the cleaning people do when they clean the rooms???? Knowing that they do not many front desks clerks which have been replaced by those automated kiosks is a very bad idea. Thanks, Jordan, for this very enlightening video of how the Flamingo hotel has changed. Many years ago, it was a very nice hotel. But now it should be either closed, completely renovated or I hate to say it torn down. The Board of Health should be notified of the conditions of this hotel.

As I’ve gotten older, I’m becoming more and more averse to staying in hotels and motels. Staying in them when I was younger in my 20s and 30s never really bothered me all that much, but nowadays I guess I’ve just gotten wiser thanks to videos like these and from my own personal, lifetime experiences. I know what goes on in hotel rooms, and the thought of sleeping on a mattress and using a pillow that thousands and thousands of people before me have used just gives me the heebie-jeebies. Even a five-star, super expensive hotel would still have me worried.

I agree. When we were "younger" 10-20-40 years ago, things were different. They used to actually clean the rooms. Remember when you'd see a maid in the hallway ? Not anymore. I stayed in some hotel rooms last year - taking our granddaughter to SeaWorld.....visiting family after the pandemic......I was not impressed. Even the breakfast buffet at the Holiday Inn Express had old stale cinn rolls and bad coffee.......With the worker shortage, with a 2 night stay, we never saw a maid......And you are correct about even the more expensive rooms. I traveled for the federal government. Even 10 years ago it wasn't that good or clean.......

This is really surprising. I’ve stayed at Flamingo a few times and it always been really great! My rooms were clean, bright, fresh. But I always booked the renovated rooms. I encourage you to go back and stay in the renovated rooms and show the difference. Hopefully Caesar’s will see your feedback and finish remodelling the rest of the property

The thing is, I don't think we're willing to give another dime to a property that is ok with selling ANY guest a room that looks like this one. Caesars Entertainment has pretty much lost us without ever actually "having" us to begin with. That was probably a one and done with the Flamingo. Thanks as always for watching, Amber!

I tend to be an MGM loyalist because their comps are usually way better and offered farther in advance to be able to plan ahead. Vs Caesar’s who give 1/2 the value or time and usually only a month or so in advance. When I’m going for more than 4 nights I split comps between MGM & Caesar’s to get the free rooms for whole stay. But it’s insane they let the rooms get to this state and think it’s ok for anyone just because the hotel is full. Crappy experience for you 😔

I’m just curious what are you expecting? If they are unwilling to clean a room. It’s not refurbishment it’s cleanliness? The shower alone was repulsive. Let alone the wallpaper/walls, vents ,cloth on the couch, drawers, door, outlets, thermostat! 🤢 If they can’t clean the basic things, there’s no going back.😮

@@BezmenovDisciple the options when booking usually say it’s been renovated. It’s the room type. The Flamingo room types are all new I believe. Vs the Go rooms and some others. I’ve had a few different view types in the Flamingo King/2 queen rooms and never had an issue

I just went to the website. They have newly renovated rooms that start at around $300 a night and then there are “specials” that start at $30 a night. Now we know what the discounted rooms are like, thank you. I stayed there about 25 years ago and don’t remember it being anything that great then.

I’ve had bad experiences with Caesars properties. I stayed at Caesars Palace in a $400 suite. The room was complete mold. You smelled it once you walked in. All the sheets, walls, bathrooms, and shades were full of mold. I told the front desk, they informed me they would send housekeeping. Housekeeping walked in and said no one should be in this room. I went to the front desk they told me they had no rooms and were going to send me to the Rio. I said no, find me a room here. They put me up in a suite in a tower for Diamond Members. I will never stay at Caesars after seeing this video, because it looked a lot like my room.

I stayed there in 2000 for a work conference. The first room they gave me, I put the key card in the door and walked in to find a man sleeping in the bed!! YES! Thank god I wasn't an axe murderer. The 2nd room they gave me, I walked in to find a huge pile of wet, sodden towels with blood here and there all over them in the middle of the floor at the foot of the bed. The shower curtain was stained with fresh blood. There were black curly hairs ALL OVER the bathroom counter, floor and shower. There were dirty ashtrays filled with cigarette butts on the nightstand. This room had just been "cleaned". I had no choice but to stay there because it was a work conference, but let me tell you, it was the nastiest travel experience I have ever had and I would sleep on the street before I stayed at the Flamingo again. I see their standards remain the same 23 years later.

We checked into the Flamingo several years ago and our first room was a disgusting, neglected mess. After going back to the front desk and complaining we did get a better room. We"ve never been back and since then we've decided to spend more and get a quality room at the Encore. Live and learn.

I’ve been to Las Vegas from New Jersey twice annually since 1977. Never stayed at the Flamingo. Enjoyed some shows in the nice showroom. Enjoy the habitat, very peaceful. I enjoy the MGM properties more. Been staying at the Signature in one bedroom condo with a kitchen and balcony. Always clean and easy check in. With full use of the fun MGM pool including lazy river. I stayed at the Paris a couple years ago, and the check-in process was exactly as you described. Check-in via the kiosk, and given written directions to find the elevators going to the rooms. I will say that at least the Paris was very nice and clean, no real issues.

I stayed there in January. Our room was not as gross as yours, but it was a close second. The heat didn't work, and the windows rattled from the cold wind. I went to the front desk as well. They waived the resort fee for me, too. Smoke was everywhere. Never staying at the Flamingo again.

I stayed in a Go Executive on the 28th floor in early February 2023 and the room was fine. Yes, I agree an update is long overdue but you definitely got a terrible room. Also agree with the check-in process and more desk agents.

This is absolutely unacceptable. I have stayed in my share of awful and, downright, disgusting rooms (including one in Atlantic City that would be more suitable as a Motel but they insisted in labeling it a Hotel) but this may just take the cake. This is something that you would find in a rental that has not been maintained and would necessitate a full flip. But this is a hotel where the rooms are required, you would think, a daily maintenance and upkeep depending on how much turnover they get, of course. And I totally agree, the stains in the walls, ceilings, corners (and everywhere else) did not happen overnight or in a few nights stay. This kind of aberration takes time which would only mean they never performed any cleaning or whatever cleaning they did, did not touch any of these areas, which from the looks of it, is the entire room. It's funny/not funny that they still keep the sign regarding the fine for smoking when it is evidently clear that the room should have been designated as a "Smoking ONLY" room to begin with and not a Non-Smoking one. I would have left as I could not have stayed a minute longer after assessing how dirty and dilapidated it is. Actually, I would have called the front desk and ask for a manager to come up so I can walk them to every single disgusting item in this room, finishing the tour with either an upgrade or, more likely, a refund. It was never on my list but definitely will be on my list of NOT TO GO TO the next time I end up in Vegas.

Man... I have stayed Just about everywhere on the strip and the Flamingo Go rooms have always been my favorite place to stay for sentimental reasons. Never have I experienced a room this bad. I work for Marriott so I know what to look for in a hotel room and I've never seen a Go room in this condition. That's definitely years of smoke damage. My most recent Flamingo stay was two trips back in September and I stayed in a Go Executive. Other than normal wear and tear the room was great and clean. Looks like you just got the really bad apple of a bunch. Sucks, bro.

I stayed at the Flamingo a lot between 2003 and 2007. It was always a great place to stay. Checked in at the airport, room was always ready early (9-10 AM), cheap ($25 a night some visits), clean and odorless. Everything changed the last time I stayed there after Harrah's bought the Flamingo and other Caesars properties. More expensive, customer service went right down the toilet, room wasn't as clean. Just not a good place to stay. But, Vegas in general was getting that way in 2007 and I haven't been back since.

In 2015 myself and three others (one with a walker avd wheelchair, so we booked a ADA room. We called to double and triple check 1 was reserved. Once we got there they refused to give us one. Such disregard for those with disabilities! We explained how it’s unsafe to get in and out of a tub… still no luck. That room also had a kind bed, not 2 queens like we booked. When complained, they brought us a roll away that was broken in the middle to we both rolled into each other. I ended up on the floor. They again refused and seemed pissed at us for complaining about safety. After constant issues, they finally gave us what we were promised. We did have to threaten and call about the disregard for safety. The pool, floors, casino, and restaurants were all dirty and had stains everywhere.

Did you look under the bed? Many places where I have stayed had trash under the beds, and the housekeeping staff was not cleaning or checking under there. If you look under the beds, you will find more surprises which I will not talk about on here.

I would never chance eating at their restaurant after seeing their incredible and long-standing lack of standards. If thats a bedroom, what is the kitchen (hygiene / freshness / cleanliness)like?? No caring, obviously. And they have a busy casino? Then they have money to clean and refurbish once in 60 years? Guess before they got rid of front of house staff, they cut the maids. Black mold. Does Vegas not have health standards? Inspectors? I would have had to leave for breathing issues/ triggers. I would have planted myself somewhere cleaner than that somewhere in Vegas. I had my last stay at The Flamingo in January. It was awful. We had no hot water. No one came to clean up our room or put fresh towels, toilet paper, etc in the room. I called the front desk. Had to call the cleaning office. The music from the pool area is loud and clear on the 24th floor. We could hear all the noise and clock alarm from room next door. Hallways are very loud. Doors slamming. Room wasn’t clean. It’s a shame. It used to be a nice place to stay. They also changed the taxi drop off. Now you have to walk through the hotel to get to the area to leave your luggage. It’s not convenient at all. Especially if you are there for the first time. Better to stay at another hotel.

I stayed at the Hotel Intercontinental in Chicago for 4 days once. I had asked for a smoke free room but as soon as they dropped off my luggage, it was apparent it was not. I called the front desk and explained this to them. They said do not unpack, someone is on the way to move you. We ended up staying in a penthouse suite that had a GREAT view! It had a living room, a huge dining room table and television that was worthy of the best super bowl party. There are smaller apartments! They could not have been more accomodating. I did not expect this at all. They even comped dinner that evening. I'll never forget that stay in Chicago!

Last year, we stayed at the Flamingo (I hit up the semi annual sale that past February and we stayed 4 or 5 days there. The first night we stayed at the Luxor so we were in Vegas for 6 days). We checked in on a Sunday. The whole check in process was AWFUL. We booked one of their renovated King rooms and someone told us we could do early check in. But then right after that said no rooms were available, but if we wanted to stay in a Go Room (we weren't going to settle for a lesser room than what we already put a deposit for) we could but we said no. So we waited until close to 4, and long lines, the kiosk was acting up and I couldn't use the card I booked with so my wife had to use her credit card. It was so frustrating. All of the stuff we dealt with was figured out in seconds when we got an actual person. Even the pool (the security guy yelled at us for some weird reason about the day pool. We were trying to figure out if we were at the right pool and he got mad and when he tried to show us where it was, he was pretty rude). When we got to the right one, that guy was cool. I liked it was heated and I liked that pool, despite it being crowded. It was relaxing but my wife thought it was gross. My wife hated the room but we were hardly in it as we were venturing out. I thought it was fine, but we're thinking elsewhere next year when we go to Vegas. Even the one night we stayed at the Luxor was MUCH more enjoyable and both of us kinda wished we stayed there instead. That pool was awesome, our tower room was nice. I paid I think 72 (not including resort fee) that day and it felt so much worth it.

That’s why I’m done with cesars properties. They have great locations but that’s about it. No customer service and all there pool seats with in eye sight of the pool are now payed seating. Before eldaroda took them over they were so much better. I’ll just stay father away from center strip and commute.. Thanks for sharing.

We had decided to branch out a little this year and try out some Caesars properties, and we're off to a bad start. In our experience, MGM Resorts is a FAR better company from top to bottom.

ha ha ha ha omg that is so unacceptable ceasers should be just ashamed. It seems more and more of their properties are falling apart. Its not like they have the loosest play either. Shame Shame Shame on them. I remember int he older days you felt safe to be at a thier properties and wanted to just stay with them. Those days are gone. But this really was the icing on the cake, that is like a dive mom and pop motel thats rented by the hour. To have their name associated with it is shameful. I still am in shock watching this lol thanks

I work in the hotel industry, and this is one of the worst rooms I've ever seen. I would have definitely requested a new room, although the lack of front desk staff probably made that option painful.

I would've complained more & demanded a refund if they couldn't get me another room! Along with taking pictures & telling the manager that those pictures will be all over social media. Even booking a room at Motel 6 or Travelodge would be better than this room. Super disgusting! 🤢

There's only so much complaining that can be done, especially when they don't want you to talk to a human being, and when you finally do they don't care. In then end, I had to cut my losses and preserve what little time I had left. Thanks for watching!

We go to Vegas at least 3 times a year and haven't stayed at the flamingo yet and after this video WE NEVER WILL!! Great video. It’s sad to see how Caesar’s is falling. They no longer have any Luxory properties, and even their nicer, updated rooms hardly compete with the middle grade options at MGM. Also all their casinos just reek of smoke. Spent days gambling in bellagio and didn’t notice the smell once, 20 minutes in Paris and I needed a shower

Depends. I stayed in the original tower at Caesars Palace last summer. The room was fine. Given everything that is happening in Vegas over the next year, the Flamingo likely needs to shut down entire floors and gut them, one by one, and clean the place up.

I've worked in hotels in Vegas before and let me tell you the older rooms that haven't been renovated are the ones they sell at a cheaper price. Those are also the ones that get cleaned to the least because they are old.

Nothing has changed in years. Stayed in the Flamingo about 10 years ago. Changed rooms twice when we checked in because the first two rooms were dirty. The hallway was just as bad with carpet that was buckling in some places and had holes in it in other places. It seems that any money spent to maintain this property is used solely to maintain the casino and not the guest rooms. We would never stay there again.

I have stayed at Flamingo over 10 times in the last 3 years, yes, there is a decline, however that room that you have is unacceptable! I have had good experiences with Flamingo, my last Vegas stay was at the Linq and their were roaches in my room, yes, roaches, and they looked at me like I was crazy when I refused to stay in that room. I am a platinum member, but I'll be moving across the street to MGM properties.

Just curious; Caesars has properties all over the Strip. Why not ask to stay at another property. I’d send this video to the city’s public health division. Its just sad that the property is this kind of condition. With all the major events coming to Vegas in this decade, the city can’t afford to have major hotels with rooms in that kind of condition.

Stayed there in October. What a sh+thole! Had a mini suite. It was run down and disgusting. Zero security at the elevators meant anyone could get access to the rooms. Bartenders at the main bar were slow and rude. The best part of the Flamingo is walking out of it ,as the location is great.

Reminds me of my first trip to Vegas and we stayed at Circus Circus. OMG, what a vile and disgusting dump !! The casino was filthy, half of the bathroom stalls were missing doors and there would be creepy men actually watching other men (and even some younger boys) take a crap. Cigarettes just dropped on the floors, food on the floors and machines, and a cloud of smoke. In our room, the air vents were stained brown and packed with dust, there was an actual TURD floating in the bowl, NO soap or shampoo, towels had stains on them, sheets had stains on them, and the entire place smelled like old cheese and feet !!
