I've just begun my Dish Network relationship. I got the Hopper 3 and that last remote you featured. I am DELIGHTED with Dish so far and now I need to figure out what smart TV I want to purchase since my mid '90s Magnavox just may be having audio issues now. After 25 years, I finally said goodbye (and good riddance!!) to DirecTV, and I couldn't be happier. The techs were great (one came from DirecTV--the other is training) & the DVR feature is amazing!

You would have the box connected to your TV via arc. Then earc from the TV to your soundbar.

I have a 4K HD TV, but have a Joey hooked up to it. The Hopper 3 is hooked up to a HD TV. The Installer did this because he said, that the Hopper 3 had to be close or in range of the Dish. Are the Hopper 3s already 4K ready?

I would make them come back out and do it how you want it. You are the paying customer and deserve what you want. not what they want. at the end of the day the hopper 3 will be the strongest most powerful system for dish. it is 4K and has way more functions available on your Hopper 3 than there will ever be on the 4K Joey. not to say the 4K Joey is not great but it's more for a bedroom tv or for not a main room viewing tv😇 hope this helps. Liked hearing information about 4k Joey's. We have had Dish network a long long long time. 22 months ago we finally decided to trade in their dinosaur box and upgrade to Hopper 3. We didn't have any 4k t.v.'s at the time but we do have a lot of rooms with t.v.'s. So I decided to go with the 4k Joey's . We had best buy set up tv so I am hoping they are working right. I first saw your video and my 1st thought was the 4k Joey's I got are obsolete now . I hope not...

But if it is something that you really want you can access KZbin on almost any Smart TV nowadays or you can buy yourself any kind of Streaming Stick Google Chromecast etc for cheap or access it on any game console or even cast it from your phone to your TV I realize that this is not ideal the other option is you can actually have more than one hopper in your home if you'd like you can put a hopper in your bedroom or wherever you're not getting it.

Just watched your video and got hopper 3. I have a 4k tv and wanted to know what all I need to have to watch 4k programming. The tech guy said $200. I had another tech guy from dish say $60 but he would have the charge. Any advice would be appreciated thanks man.

Good video. Thumbs up from me. I just received my new 54.0 remotes after my 52.0 remote decided to randomly die (it only took 8 days to get to me because of the stupid holidays so I was without a remote for 8 days. Thank god for my HTPC) even though I took super good care of it, i'm super careful with ALL of my electronics. I absolutely HATED the 52.0 remote. You had to physically almost punch and press the buttons through the remote to get them to work & the input button NEVER worked on my Vizio tv and all the tech who installed my dish was "it's a software issue Dish could never figure out how to fix & it's been like that for years." New 54.0 input button works just fine now without having to use the actual remote that came with the tv.

At that point the 4k Joey would be in another room and any content that is available in 4k you will be able watch. Hey I have a question for you. How do you get the sound off of the hopper dish network? The voice that always repeats yourself every few seconds. That tells you what channel or what? Never it is on. yes it's a 54.0 remote with a hopper/with sling box. I've had Dish for over 20 years and this seems to be the only quirk I've ran into (except losing reception during a thunder storm ). I believe I am on the Spectrum wi-fi and am not sure of the software version, but probably the 2.0 G

Does the 4K Joey work with existing Dish WAP Wireless Bridge Controller? I only say this because I recognize that 4K Joey has Ethernet I/O but I don’t want to run throughout the house and have my house full of RJ-45 Network Cables. Great videos btw, keep up the good and informative content!

Thank you so much for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 😇🙏 Great question and I unfortunately know exactly what you are talking about. Ok new equipment will be faster definitely. If your hopper 3 is over a year old I would call tech support and have them send you a new hopper 3 and the new 4k Joey's. Because remember the Joey's are actually linking to the hopper Hopper itself. It is processing everything and sending it to the Joey's through the coax cable in your house. butt if the coax cable in your house is very old or it's not tightly screwed down this can also degrade your service quality. in all measures in your bedrooms. Go into the settings menu on your Hopper 3 and look at the MoCA settings and see if it says you are getting good signals this is something that you can do right away in addition to just getting the new 4k Joey's to help your speed. Check all the coax cables make sure that they're tight also look for any damage cabling often when people come install a dish they want to use old wiring in your house this is easier for the installer but not always the best solution for you the first time that I had to rewire everything the overall picture quality greatly improved in addition to the overall performance speed. but overall yes it will help as they are just much faster products.

It definitely takes some getting used to so you know you can actually use your old remote if you would like as far as the remote lighting up the only remotes that light up are the smart remotes so depending on which one you got but if you did get the voice remote either one will light up there is a light button on the remote just press it. The remotes have software updates that happened all so it might need one. But if you want it's very easy to connect your old remote back if you would prefer. Next go to example the first episode and press the option button. when episode 1 is highlighted in red press options it will pull up four options. click option one and switch the check box to recorded filter click the box relevant like recorded please know that you can also change your streaming here also. next click back press options go to number 3 change it to season episode sort. now once the episode ends it should give you the ability to click right into the next I hope this helps😉

I hope you will consider hitting that thumbs up and subscribing if you have not😁 great questions so you can use either Ethernet or coax for the internet. it does not have an SD card slot however it does have a USB that you can buy expanded storage. which most likely you won't need due to the fact that the hopper 3 has a 2 terabyte hard drive and it's directly links to that. Alexa does control this system through the hopper 3 and yes you can do one hopper and one Joey. you don't need to have multiple. If you want a completely wireless experience dish also offers a wireless set-top box that you could place anywhere around your home backyard are garage and have TV and move it whenever you'd like with nothing needed but a power outlet pretty neat. I'm a tech. The 50.0 was the worst remote I have ever seen us using. The 52.0 was nice because it had a TV power button, the new 54.0 does have 1 button which functions as both reciever and TV power, but have 2 separate buttons works way better for customers.

Thank you so much for watching and subscribing I'm honored that you have supported my channel😇 Interesting🤔 that is news to me. did they say why that is? you can even have to hopper 3 in your house if you want. But to answer your question the remote will not work from room to room. however they do have Google support so you can use your voice or you can use the dish anywhere app which works through Wi-Fi to turn your TV that way. but the physical remote control will have a limit on the distance. did you speak to an actual dish representative or was it a third party dish distributor? But if something changed and if there telling you that I would recommend just getting two hoppers. the price difference is roughly the same per month having double. And it might be a good option. plus of course the hopper 3 is going to be the most powerful box plus you would get an extra to terabyte hard drive that way. and I know that works definitely because my father has two and so does my brother-in-law. Also I just want to make no I am in no way questioning you I know sometimes texting will look that way I'm just shocked because they must have done a software update to stop people from doing it or something because it did work in the past with the latest Hopper 3 as the mother box.

I am not really concerned if it is 4K or not, I just heard that the 4K joey was a better device than the other ones. Can you estimate the range of the 54.0 remote? All 4 of my tv's are within a 30 foot radius of where the hopper and joey would be. My 722K's have RF remotes that will work from the other rooms, if you hold them in certain directions.

Interesting.. Anyway you can use your old Rf remotes still with the new systems if you want. Distance with the new ones you can easily get 50 to 60 feet with a clear path. Its walls that start to cause a problem. But same thing if you get a perfect position they can work also. I went into another room with 2 walls in between for you... it worked 2 times out of 10 i hope this helps

In no way should they make you pay. Make sure you call dish and not a 3rd party. If they still say you have to pay. Ask to disconnect your service. They will transfer you to their retention department. This department can make sure to help you so they wont lose you. Let me know what they say.

However for a personal solution I signed up for hbo max. through their stream app for 11 dollar's a month price. Its cheaper with the promo than it was for hbo on dish or others. But hbo is looking to be a independent streaming channel. I dont believe that dish will get it back. And as each provider contracts expire I believe hbo will leave them also as their new structure is to be like netflix and stream only and likely will not work with any companies eventually except as a app for streaming.

First let me thank you for watching my channel. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to watch and hope you will consider subscribing if you have not done so already😁 great question so the 4K Joey came out roughly around 2 years ago at that point the Joey 2.0 was available which was slightly more aesthetically pleasing than the 1.0. and of course people like the fact that it was Slim. But not everyone has a 4K TV. So the 4K Joey it really is just about the 4K picture in addition to having 4K Netflix also. It seems as if dish has locked into their technology for a while and now they're just tweaking the way things look. So besides a better viewing experience looks-wise it's pretty close. Another thing to keep in mind some of the more advanced remotes are only compatible on some of the versions so definitely check with Dish while picking your remote which one and where it will work. I'm hoping that we get to the point where any remote will work on all of the devices but at this point the newest voice remote will not. Thanks for the response. If you had both side by side and you weren't watching something in 4k. Do you feel the picture would be identical? Only reason I ask is they want 50.00 payment for each 4k Joey and with limited 4k channels really it would only be beneficial for Netflix but when they charge the fee I could just buy a 4k streaming device and it's mine not theirs.

I'm not currently with dish but will be with in the next month. It will be a 6 tv setup with a mixture of 4k and 1080p displays. From a technology stand point the 4k Joey sounds better but at 50.00 a pop not sure it would be worth it unless it would provide a better picture even on 1080p displays. In my mind I was thinking maybe the 4k joeys had a better picture processor. The 50.00 fee just seems odd to me.

Well it will provide a better picture quality. It is a better picture processor it has to be. Spec wise it is superior. I think its a must if you buy a 4k TV. But it's your hard earn money it's hard for me to say whether or not it would be worth it for you or not I'm so picky that I have to have it. I can see the difference even though slight on a 1080 but that's me. Mainly what I notice is zero digital distortion on the hopper 3 or the 4K Joey's. But Nice thing about dish is they would let you upgrade most likely at any time in the future if you were to say get a different TV. I've pinned my referral code to the top of the comment board if you use that phone number and that referral code you should be able to get all the equipment and installation for nothing. if you sweet-talk them I would imagine you can probably get them to give you the 4K Joey for free and waive the 50 fee. Not a guarantee but trust me they want your business. They have also waive those fees for my brother-in-law and a couple of my friends getting a new customer to them is more important than that $50 fee use that to your advantage when you sign up. I know I'm all over the board here but so I can clarify for you if it was me I think the 4K Joey is worth it I just don't want to tell you you absolutely have to get it and you not be satisfied I just want to see you happy with what you purchased. My husband called Dish network to ask about password protecting Recordings with a password , the girl told him yes you can protect them from being deleted with a password and she could not explain how. She said contact Dish to have a Technician come out to show us how to do it in person, we did that and a week later the man came out and all he showed us was how to set up the Parental Controls, and we showed him even with that function in operation anyone could still Delete Recording and also delete everything in the Trash Folder --- Very unacceptable that someone who works for Dish Network does not even know how the DVR Works and cannot explain its full functions. I wish Dish would make it were each persons Named Folder can be password protected to keep anyone from deleting shows you have saved.

Sorry to hear about your experience with dish. Unfortunately there is no way password protect however you can lock a folder so whoever wanted to delete it would have to go to your folder unlock it and then delete it if you're having issues after you're telling people in your house not to mess with your locked folders and they're erasing it anyway. Then I recommend an external hard drive this way you can move your entire folder over to it and you can unplug it from your dish no one can access it and no one can delete it this also will give you much more space so you won't have to worry about people needing to delete your stuff😇 I need to terabyte or smaller hard drive should work😉

@@gwapagirl6418 remember anything that is deleted you can find in the trash folder for 48 hours after it is deleted when you're in your DVR you will notice there's four tabs at the top recording schedules timers and trash go to the trash click on the show or movie deleted and hit restore. Also to protect a show you must click dvr than options manage recordings then click protect. Unfortunately yes people can access your protected shows and delete them but it will give them an extra step and say do you really want to delete a protected or something in that manner. also using the same options button you can move to an external hard drive making it even safer. You can also protect your live recordings select the event to record then press options select protect an event and don't forget to click save😊😉

when pausing a program the pause button will pause for an hour which is normal. When un-pausing after about 10 minutes instead it wants to advance to regular programming instead of starting from where it was paused at. Why ? Can it be programmed not to do that ? The old remotes never advanced to regular programming, like the 722 remote

I have a Joey3 that can't connect to the Hopper3 internet, even that on the Hopper3 appear that in MoCA, Server Connection and Internet Connection are connected. I try resetting the internet connection, resetting the Joey3, making a factory reset to the Hopper3 and nothings works. The only wat that I get the Joey3 have internet are connecting directly to my router via ethernet.

Thank you for your continued support. I appreciate you so much. That's a great question first thing a lot of people have DirecTV do 2 NFL ticket. But I find their customer service is nowhere near as good as dish and the picture quality and capabilities in my opinion are much better in the hopper 3 and 4K Joey. I also find their overall pricing much cheaper. And just so you know I'm not just making this stuff up my mother-in-law who lives a couple houses over from me had DirecTV for ever. I switched her to Dish haha. But she is older and of course relies upon me for just about everything to do with bills and TV service etc etc lol. Head-to-head with the same channels my bill was almost $50 less a month than hers was. in addition to that she constantly had issues with her bill and their customer service was 90% of the time atrocious. But I'm sure people have had bad experience with Dish also. I have had dish forever and they have been nothing but amazing to me I've almost left a few times you know to get those 1-year deals you get when you switch but they always do whatever they can to keep me. By discounting my bill giving me new equipment whatever it might be. The 16 tuner Hopper 3 with two terabyte hard drive full smart capabilities and the ability to skip commercials😉😁 based off of that alone it's enough to switch but picture quality is much better also on Dish. Again this is just my opinion and it's not like you need to run out and go get dish or anything but if you ever want to let me know. I can give you a referral code and it will give you a $50 discount and everything for free including install and a big discount for the first-year etc etc. I think if you have AT&T as your cell phone provider staying with DirecTV probably would make sense cuz I heard you get true unlimited data on your phone and big discounts on your phone plan but other than that I'm just not a fan. I work for and install dish, and hate to tell you but dish lies to you about 4k. the hopper 3 only can output 1080i. Put a 4k hdmi cable on it and hit 4k resolution in settings and hit info on your tv and it will always say 1080i. Dish would have to launch new satellites to push bandwith needed for 4k. 4k joey is a scam dish pushes to jack your bill up. It is NOT a true 4k box. It just streams a less compresses video to your tv.

Dish definitely has 4k I've watched and verified. Regular TV is 1080i true and that is most channels. HBO and movie channels are 1080p. Then You can rent ppv is 1080 and 4k. They also had the summer Olympics in 4k. Hopper 3 and the 4k Joey each worked and output 4k. Dish has the equipment but most regular programs/Channels only film and output 1080i. Also 4k Netflix and KZbin is available.

Dish boxes absolutely do output 4k. Its just limited like everything else and will grow with time. Streaming services of course output 4k on these dish boxes. Than Mostly pay preview and special engagements like the Olympics. So if its output dish can do it on any hd channel. But specific Channels are channel 540 also channel 1 has 6 total 4k channels and 501 has 6 channels in 4k. and most VOD channels are 4k if available. Then you have engagements that will be broadcasted in 4k on regular networks like Olympics. Can you program the 54.0 remote to control TV menus? I have the 65 EG9600UB and cannot get the 52.0 remote to work with the TV's menus. The arrows is what I'm asking about. I cannot navigate the TV smart menus, the arrow buttons blink very quickly and dimly. I tried doing the learning function and that doesn't work (used Anymote Android app to do the learning function).

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video I would be honored if you would consider subscribing and giving a thumbs up if you have not done so already😊 I'm so sorry to hear that you're having issues with your remote technically you should be able to control your TV fully with either remote. Make sure that you have a fresh set of batteries in your remote. Next make sure the HDMI CEC function is turned on in your dish and your TV. If your TV has an IR function that needs to be turned on make sure that it is. Next as you probably done go into your dish controller setting then put in your TV manufacturer and the model number it should program your remote for you. At this point when you use your TV. you have to remember to press the TV icon on your Dish remote if you're pressing the satellite that will control the satellite then there should be two other functions for your liking like DVD player. but in this case just make sure that the TV one is pressed down. If it's still not working try going all the way up to the TV and put the remote right in front of the TV sensor and see if that works. Also with the new remotes there is software updates that are needed when you program your remote to your Hopper 3. example there should be an option that says update software on remote go ahead and make sure that that's updated. Thank you again for your support please let me know if any of this works. if not I would be glad to troubleshoot further might be easier when I'm actually sitting in front of MyDish. I would be able to do that tomorrow but let me know😊

Jb TechFanatic Thanks bud for the help. I've done all of those things and even found the exact product number for my TV in TV wizard on the dish remote settings. I'll have to check the update for the remote, but I'm weary that it would be an issue as I did find the model number when setting up the remote. I can open the menu on my TV, increase and decrease sound, along with muting. The only issue I have, is using the arrow keys to navigate the menu (TV settings along with the most important, smart menus). I have not contacted dish as from experience, that would be frivolous. I'm wondering if maybe your controller is bad. This is a likely possibility especially since the arrows are not working. if you have the service plan Dish Network will provide you with free ones all you have to do is call them and they will send you a new one. and most cases they will even send you the newest model. I've been playing with it and as long as I scroll all the way down on the controller menu and the bottom 3 Advanced functions are checked on it works if I check any of them off it stops working. Can you let me know what box you're working with is it the actual Hopper 3 or is it the 4K Joey or is it a different one?

It's The Hopper 3. The arrow buttons work fine with the hopper, it's just pressing the TV button on the side and trying to use the arrows in the TV function.

If you get any kind of cellular reception there is many devices that you can make as a Wi-Fi hotspot including many modern cell phones have it built in you would have to call your server to see what different plans they have but you can get 4G data out in the middle of nowhere for usually an affordable price. Like a mobile wifi hotspot

Lol cant you just tell them to not erase them 🤣 😂 especially if you protect them? They still physically have to go unprotect them to erase them. I never realized this was such an issue. The only reason I ever protect is so when I do a bulk delete it doesn't delete my favorite recordings. My wife and kids know not to erase my stuff lol. theoretically anyone could figure out your password also in your house at least mine since we all know our standard passwords and delete your recordings. But great news there is Still one Ironclad solution one way that you can guarantee none of your recordings get deleted or watched ever. that is simply by adding a external hard drive move your folder over to your hard drive and unplug it so no one messes with it then when you're watching TV plug it in and watch away😊😇😉 it's also can add up to an additional 2 terabytes of hard drive space needing much less to be erased😇

I gotta say, I disagree here. Love your channel, thanks for the great content. I have had an absolutely ridiculous time with Dish. I could not strongly warn people to stay away from them. They are inept. I'm stuck watching TV on a hopper 1!!!!!! On 4k tvs because they want to charge me 100.00 and have a guy come to install it. I asked why can't you just send me the hopper, I'll even pay the exorbitant fee. No dice. I told them I was going to cancel and just stream, it was easier and cheaper. They could care less. Plus it goes out EVERYTIME it rains. So, I'm glad someone has had a good experience. Mine was the opposite. Years I paid these peeps $$$ out the Ying yang, and they treat you like a real butt head. No bueno. Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to share with others

They said I wasnt in a contract anymore. I've tried this twice before. Their customer service is so weird! They sent me a replacement hopper 2 years ago, I installed it myself. Now, they say they can't send it, an installer needs to come out, and it'll cost me 100 bucks for the hopper 3, they'll upgrade my joys to joey2.0 for free, but my monthly payment would be 160.00!!! Ha ha haaaaa. Oh man. Idk. It's kinda too much hassle. Thanks for your reply. Your content on your channel is both helpful and fun to watch.

PERFECT no contract awesome! This is the trick for whatever reason with a lot of companies these days there's two departments. There's the standard Department that typically can't do much for you or won't do much for you lol. But then there's the retention department (THIS IS WHO YOU WANT LOL). The retention department are paid to care these are the people that their sole responsibility is to keep you from cancelling. So pick up the phone call Dish Network listen to The prompts very carefully find and pick the disconnection option. Side note Nothing is better when it prompts you will you take a survey at the end of the call say yes. Now you have someone that wants you to stay and knows you're going to review them when you're done. Someone that actually is going to care about their customer service because their job depends on it. When they pick up the phone in a nice way you tell them you're more than happy with Dish you don't want to leave but at this point every time you go to a samsclub or you see a competitor's ad they have all these promotions with DirecTV Cox etc etc. Whatever competitors you have in your area. You politely tell them that you have all old equipment and you have 4K TVs and you don't have the channels that you particularly want but your bill seems overly priced. At this point you want to be sure to state that you want more for your money not less their first intent is to immediately try to just eliminate channels making your bill less Etc. At this point you simply say I want all new equipment for free and what kind of channel packages or discounts can you give me. At this point I can almost guarantee you they will give you the hopper 3 and the equipment you need free of charge. Now a few things you want to make sure of one that your bill is paid in full and that you treat the person nicely. I found in many cases when we get angry it just makes them angry and they don't want to help us. After all we're all humans. I mean last time I called them and I got my new stuff I literally said I want it cheaper and I want more just like you would speaking to the sales rep. Another fact is if you don't get the retention department it seems that you will get an experience like you've already had they won't budge in fact I think the biggest discount they can even give is $5 lol. Next if you ever need anybody out to fix your equipment or do anything you can sign up for the protection package. now that cost 7 to $10 a month depending on how long you've been a customer but what they don't tell you is you can literally cancel it whenever you want so instead of paying $100 service fee you pay them $7 they come do whatever you need and then you can cancel it. One note if you talk them into a deal they do make you sign a contract. But they will not charge you to come out and set it up or for new stuff. Key is to speak to the retention department. And simply tell them I don't want to leave dish I like dish I just want the new stuff with a good price like everyone else is getting. I have literally called for six of my family members and they have never not discounted their bill for at least a year. Also giving at least two free movie channel packages for 3 to 6 months all new equipment and install for free😉 I'm so sorry the way you were treated. I think you deserve to get some new cool stuff and I know you can. Please let me know if you decide to try and how it goes thank you so much for supporting my channel. Jb TechFanatic no by all means, defend dish if you like them. They are a big company. I've used them for 6 years? I think. They were great at first. But to me it seems like they have the tech side down, they're competitive, pushing new stuff, trying to stay relevant, but, it's the over all herding of the cats part of the company, the managing of massive amounts of people and dealing with numbers and shareholders where they suck. It's like they're too far out in front of their skis. But hey, I'm one customer. I think when you provide a service to millions of people, you have to drive carefully to maximize your appeal and usefulness to the largest amount of people possible. In doing so, obviously, some people are going to get screwed and pissed. Ha ha. It's all good. No, I wouldn't be rude or angry on the phone ha ha. That's just someone doing their job. And yes, it doesn't help anything. I'll try your advice and call them when I have time soon and I'll let you know definitely how it turns out. I don't mind paying $$ dough if the service/product is quality, I just feel lately they are lacking for me on that end. Thanks for your input and help!

Regardless if you can buy the equipment I'm sure there is someone around you you can have come out and point their satellite gun and set it up you would then just need to activate the service.

Thank you so much for the support and watching my video I appreciate you so much and hope you will consider subscribing and liking the video if you have not😁 to get the voice remote to work you need to make sure your Hopper 3 is connected to the internet disconnect any remote that is already associated with the Box by pressing the system info button on the front of the box using the basic remote. Then press unpair. once that is complete take the new voice remote and just simply press the satellite button. it will prompt you to do a software update of the voice remote and you will be set. all internet settings are set up through the hopper 3 initially by going into the settings menu and going to network and setting up the device. The hopper 3 and 4k Joey needs to be hooked up to either WiFi Ethernet or coax Hardline wiring with internet. Please let me know if you have any other questions thanks again for watching!

I contacted dish and they said at this time they have zero 4K channels. So I ask them why they had the 4K Joey if they had zero 4K channels. They ended chat session. I contacted them again and a different girl said yes they have zero 4K channels and it is up to the channel providers to when they will have 4K channels. She said there was no difference in the 4K Joey and the receiver I already have since neither have 4K channels. They do have some hd channels but while watching if you hit info button it shows it showing only at 480i instead of 1080i. You can’t get a legitimate answer on any 4K questions because when contacting dish you are talking to someone in the Philippines and reading standard answers from a book. How do I know because I ask the girl where she was located.

Why did DISH Network not show "The Puppy Bowll" for ALL their customers today not just their customers on more expensive plans??? Many elderly people & lower income families can not afford the expensive channels & programs DISH has on now. DISH did same thing @ Christmas by not showing "Prancer." This is so unfair. That's a bummer sorry to hear 😕 Just wanted you to know that I have No affiliation with Dish. I'm just a customer who likes their product. Maybe this can help? I Recommend logging into your dish network account and Going to My offers. If you have been with dish a long & time pay bill on time ect ect.. they want to keep you and Give special prices to keep you. Look for the preferred customer discount if you don't see it online? call the 1-800 number but select disconnection and change service option. this is the only way you will actually talk to a dish retention employee that can give you deals and not a third-party call center or someone who has no authority. they are there to keep you as a customer. I have the America everything pack with movie channels & 5 4k boxes. My bill with taxes is 110 locked in for 2 years. You can likely get all the channel's you need for really cheap by getting the right offer. When you talk to the regular customer service call center number. If you say you want a lower bill what they do is talk you into a cheaper package and maybe offer 5 dollars off a month. Next thing you know you don't have any channels you want. Hope this helps 🙏☺

I'm very ill and missing most of my insides but it not barium. I'm hooked up to iv daily to survive. Bags of tpn then hydration then certain meds i need to keep me alive. At the time o did this video I was on iv bags 24 hours a day thankfully now it down to 16 hours a day.

Did dish mail you the joey 4K receiver because they won’t ship it to me they told me a technician has to be the one to set it up like really that’s a 50 fee for the joey 4K receiver and 95 more for the technician to set it up and the voice dish remote is only 20 dollars like wtf

I'm honored that you have considered subscribing and taking your time to comment 😊 I'm sorry to hear they are doing that😕 to answer your question yes they mailed me that if you already have a hopper 3 and have them dish on the outside of your house that's capable of 4K there's no need for them to send them out to your house unless you do not have a coax ran to the bedroom that you want you're 4K Joey but if you already have the hopper 3 and the dish and you are simply replacing the receiver with the 4K Joey in your bedroom there is no need for them to come out. But if this is something that you want I suggest signing up for their maintenance plan I believe it's like $9 a month and then it should be free for them to come out. Then once this is done you can cancel it at any time. As far as getting the fee waived you need to talk to the disconnection Department just tell them that you've been loyal customer of theirs for a long time and you don't want to go to DirecTV but they are offering new equipment for free. See if they can help you in any way. Make sure when you call DISH just listen for the prompt that says disconnect service or change service. this Department is the retention team and can do things that regular customer service cannot. hopefully this helps a little bit please let me know if I can help in any way. thank you again for your support of my channel!

Did you call the retention department? They are the only ones who will do it. But the last resort is just sign up for the maintenance plan have them come out and do it and then cancel it at least you won't have to pay for a service call. That's if you're okay with paying the $50 fee for the 4K Joey. Otherwise you have to get the retention department on the phone. I hate to hear when people have a hard time I'm so sorry😔

As of January 2019 there are no cable or satellite providers in the United States that are capable of Broadcasting 4K HDR and that will not change for a very, very long time. All of this is nothing but snake oil! The only real way to access 4K HDR is with a 4K Blu-ray player with 4K Blu-rays, or with an Apple TV 4K, Roku 4K, Amazon Fire TV 4K or you can use your built in apps on your 4K Smart TV for streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime video, Hulu, Vudu and others that are capable of outputting 4K HDR. As far as cable and satellite providers are concerned, they have some serious catching up to do! Most cable and satellite providers are still out putting 720P or 1080i highly compressed video! At this time they simply cannot broadcast 4K HDR even if their equipment is capable of outputting 4K HDR. Their infrastructure needs billions of dollars of upgrades in order for 4K HDR to work properly and none of these companies are willing to spend the money on these upgrades to their infrastructure! I'm not even going to get started on 8K which at this point in time is beyond a pipe dream!

Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you taking your time to share. So Remember 4k and hdr are two different things. So you can have just 4k or just hdr or 4k hdr. And now there are many different hdr types lol. But for now dish has 4k channels and on demand movies in 4k. This of course is limited just like every other new format. but for customers the importance of these new boxes besides just a better overall experience with your picture quality. (And even 1080i looks way better than last gen) is the fact that you can have 4K Netflix 4K KZbin etc. Dish Network Hopper 3 is just about the best available in the cable world. It's more than just being a cable provider tv box. It's also a Smart Box. Unfortunately 4K is very limited all around but there is some programming and channels offered now. One of the biggest thing's is dish will be broadcasting the Olympics this year in 4k. so it is possible and it is capable. I have seen it with my own eyes. But you are correct it is limited and most channels are still in 720p or 1080i. The money that networks need to spend to film and output 4k is another big hurdle. But it definitely is extremely expensive and slow. I just got back from CES and the future is insane and 8k will be insane once we get it widespread. For now if you want a 8k TV Samsung new Q900 8k TV is the only tv that will give you a 8k experience. Since there in no 8k content they have a AI artificial intelligence system that converts the signal. After seeing all the TVs CES showcased that is the only one that actually looks like 8k and it was breathtaking. But even so we are a long time away from true 8k everywhere. Make sure it is synchronize with your dish box then it will update. You must hold down the voice button for the entire time you talk. Then it should work perfect.

Sadly You are now correct😉 it quietly disappeared with a update a while back like 6 months ago or more. My guess is likey bandwidth problems caused major buffering for many customers that did not have a fast network and proper modem and router. But that's just a guess. It still is available on the hopper 3 however so that's good. Thank you for watching

Not really a joke its old at this point just a natural progression of tech and partnerships. Dish has moved on to the hopper plus now running Android tv operating system. Joey 4 is the new 4k joey it plays 4k content and has hdmi 2.1 and more ram. 4k content when available will still be the case with any content of course. Additionally, features are software based as dish moves to making their hopper plus dish with all smart TV options software will continue to roll to all their products. If they ever get their hacked systems back up that is? we are going on a month and dish network ecosystem is still down thank the lord the dish still works 😱 crazy how something like this can happen hopefully they get it resolved soon.

Lol bad experience😂😂 Best way to have them fix it. Is run a single cable from the satellite into the back of your Hopper 3 this will work miracles for your picture quality. unfortunately depending on what state you live in? most of the people installing aren't even real dish employees. they are often third-party contractors. so I would definitely agree that you need to find someone to do the job correctly. but of course this is the case for everything. it's unfortunate in this world we live in that there is such poor employee commitment to the customer. It happens to me a lot in my life. I can go to a huge store Like Home Depot. I pay them a ton of money to get a room remodeled. But do you think for one second I Get Home Depot employees to my house. Nope I get the cheapest third-party contractors that Home Depot can find lol. to make as much profit as they possibly can. sad but true I guess. I'm very sorry to hear that you're having a bad experience. I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video😊

The install guy came by one day and asked who put that on a fence post? I did. well you can’t do the install your self. It was up there before you were born son now just leave.

That doesn't so goog. Luckily With all the streaming services we have today you have plenty of other options available to cancel dish. As far as cost it's fairly easy to get your bill lowered. When you call wait for the option to cancel services you will then be transferred to the US retention department. If you have been with them for a long time and pay your bill on time monthly like we have they give you alot for a little in comparison to competition. Example I have the everything package with hbo showtime stars & max 1 hopper and 4 4k Joey's. My bill with taxes is 105.26 that is good as regular customers would easily be over 200. But no doubt if you hate it cancel it that's the best way to get you point across to a company 💯 issue is in this day of age there isn't many or maybe even any that have good service call centers ect pretty sad.

@@JbTechFanatic This dont work JB -- only way to protect the Recording is to have the IT people at Dish add a Password protect popup screen to either the Personal Folder or the Deleted Programs Folder -- and one can go and un-protect the Recording and then delete them -- i know -- i tried it. I spoke with Dish a few days ago and the guy on the phone thouight is was a good idea to add password protection to the Deleted Programs Folder -- that way only one person can only do the final Deleting of Recordings.
