I just repaired one today. And it was the computer. If it's not the heating element or the high limit switch, then then it could possibly be the computer. I put a multi meter on the heating element. Put it on one hour wash with heat dry selected. You should start seeing a hundred and twenty volts on your multimeter from time to time to heat the water and then after the cycles are done it should stay on for a Couple of minutes. If you guys need any appliance parts. I have for all brands. So cheap it will make your contacts fly off.

@@WarriorHouseDIY the relay on the board was stuck open. The coil in the relay was broken. I'm going to take a relay from a old refrigerator board and solder it back onto this control board and put it back in the unit that I Borrowed the working computer from.

I thought the rinse aid it’s just for water spots. I didn’t think you’d have anything to do with the heater element.

Mine was not heating, (GE error#3), I was about to disassembly to check the heater...and the problem was the rinse aid half empty... THANKS

@beatrizguerra2714 I have used white vinegar in mine but would check with your owners manual before doing so. I’ve also used water just to test if the unit was working properly. As for the dial, some units have an adjustment for amount of rinse aid.
