this song reminds me of the time my best friend and I decided to explore and allegedly haunted house. We both had heard rumors from older kids at the time. Most were stories about how there used to be a family of five living in that house a long time ago, and the youngest kid eventually, for whatever reason (most rumors vary here), killed every member of his family with a butcher knife. Some said that the spirit of the kid still roamed the halls of that house. My friend and I decided to meet up at around noon so we can explore the place. We met up, talked a bit, and went inside the broken down building. My friend was usually scared of things like this so I was pretty surprised when he did't even show any form of reaction when I jumped out from around a corner and shouted "BOO". We continued walking around the house and eventually we both agreed to head back home because it was getting kinda dark outside. I lead the way out and noticed that he wasn't there. I waited for a good two hours while picking at the grass in front of the house. I realized my mistake afterwards and booked it back home and told my parents about the situation. They called my friend's parents and they said that my friend was asleep at home for that past five or so hours. I've always wondered who that kid I was walking with was.

JellyBeeStudios personally, the way I've always looked at it is that you, are you. and I am me. each individual is exactly that. an individual. surrounded by billions of other individuals to the point that they all seem the same. Going on or packing up early makes no difference in the long term road of the world. Die today, same macro outcome as if you die 70 years from now. There is no point. No point going on, No point giving up. All that matters is that you are doing what you want to do. We are here, now. We have the power to continue until stopped or stop it ourselves. That one choice is the one aspect of individuality that makes us human. Personally I figure I might as well stick along for the ride just to see what happens. Good or bad it all ends the same but why not roll the dice? It truly is an adventure, predetermined by fate or not. Books movies and video games, they are all planned out in advance but yet we still find ourselves curious what happens next. You have a choice even here. Be intrigued or think of me as a blubbering fool. That's your choice. And choice is what makes us individuals, be it predetermined or not, may we actually exist or not, we are either human or under the illusion we are human but again, the endings all the same. All that has ever mattered, is that you make the choices and decisions, real or illusional, that you want to make.

The way I see it, 18 years is long enough for me at least. I feel like you have the most freedom as a child. Especially in a capitalist society. You dont have to pay to live as a child, you dont have to pay for food as a child or water. You get all the stuff you rightfully own as a child. You have proper happiness. The world has gone to shit and I dont see the point in living anymore. Theres so much wrong with the world nowadays and I dont want to deal with any of it. Call it laziness or whstever you want but I dont see how logical it is to live the rest of your life only to suffer and have small bits of happiness here and there afterwards.

All I could do was just sit there. I felt the dampness of the ground through my clothes, creeping and emanating an unforgiving cold on my skin. I didn't know what to do. All around me was nothing but blankness and sand. Mist thickening and getting close to the point of it being suffocating just because I couldn't see a direction to go. My heart was rippling throughout my chest with the greatest sense of dread I had even known, and not simply because I felt like I was stranded. No. What made me feel this way was the fact that inside that thick, obscuring fog were silhouettes. No definitive outline, but one that was becoming more and more apparent as they approached me.

Thank you... So much. You have no idea how much this song means to me. I'm a writer. When I was younger, I used to have a lot more time to write, and I had been working on a book for close to a year. I used to think of "Disintegrating" sort of as that story's "theme" because I had typed so many scenes to it. Now, as I look back on my old story, with my life so busy, nothing is more nostalgic than to hear this music box version of the song. I'm teeming with goosebumps. I feel as if I could cry. This song is so lovely it almost makes you want to cry from how beautiful it is. The feeling of melancholy is palpable in the notes. I feel as if it has a different feel from the other version of this song. This one has an almost haunting atmosphere with the echoes of each note and the slow decent towards the end as if sealing a fate to the unknown. I applaud you, this song evokes more emotion than most songs I've heard in a long time. This is a true masterpiece and I cannot emphasize that enough. Keep up the great work!

All I remember was a flash of light and a colossal explosion before I went into emergency shutdown... Smoke. Ash. Rain that burned and corroded my exterior. I was surrounded by... nothing. Everything was gone. I was built for this. I was built to last. It has been 50 years since that day, and I sit here with my master, disintegrating ever so slowly as I reminisce on what was and what could have been.
