I tried to do it with windows own Disk management, I wasnt sure what to chose so I selected GPT instead of MBR as I read this was the one to chose if I was unsure. But when I tried to do it it said: The request was not fulfilled because of a serious error in device hardware. Does that mean the disk is totally gone and I can't recover the data on it ? I tried with MBR also but same error. Will probably be the same error if I try with minitools program or the one from easus.

Now choose the option “repair your PC” after that choose troubleshoot > advanced options > cmd Type the following command and hit enter: Bootrec /fixboot Bootrec/fixmbr Bootrec /rebuildbcd If one of the command gives you the error “access is denied” type : Bootsect /nt60 sys

Hi, I want to ask is it possible i got this error because my enclosure i have here can't manage the storage capacity greater than 2tb? I have existing 3.5 HDD enclosure for my 500gb hard drive but as soon I plug my 4tb hard drive in my enclosure I got this error .. I'm planning to buy another enclosure for my existing 4tb hard drive that can handle storage capacity greater than 2tb and use it for as external hard drive for personal storage but I was hesistate a bit because i might encounter another error like this again, enclosure for this type of drive is pretty expensive here so I want to make sure if that is also a cause ... thank you.

Generally this problem arise due to failure in hard disk .. if this method helps you fix the issue there isn’t any need of enclosure(if it’s cabinet as I don’t understand what enclosure is)

i got a war going on in my pc now, new 8tb Firecuda randomly disconnects, i looked this problem up it tells me to disable a usb power saver in windows ive done that 8TB seems to be working good no i have another problem, the 2TB isnt even showing up no more i go to disk mangement it says the 2TB needs initializing i click that it then says "incorrect function" i cant do nothing with this 2tb drive good thing there was nothing on it and i mean nothing it was just a old blank drive i had in case i needed it its really just been sitting there doing nothing powered up looking pretty. what did i recently change for this drive to die? the usb powersettings so i went back there enabled it, good news 2TB back online? i assume 8TB problem will come back but why? what am i doing wrong? 4TB still works solid its not glitching like the others

Your hard disk is bad sectors. You need to format it using Diskpart

May be this will help you out. Open command prompt and type : Chkdsk c: /f /r Replace “C” with the letter of your drive Once the above command is completed type : Sfc /scannow

It’s clear sir hardware issue hai.. try one more time. Open command prompt and type following command one by one : Diskpart List disk Select disk 1 Clean Convert gpt exit Now close command prompt and check thik hue ya nai Note : during disk selection “select disk 1” make sure to choose the correct number else you will end up formatting your other hard disk which will lead to lose all your data.

Try with the minitool partition wizard by changing the USB port of your attached hard disk
