Hey there Grace this is Jim from Wisconsin and on your 5488 to get the steering wheel closer to you there is on the steering column that cone, you twist to your right to loosen up and you can pull a steering wheel out closer add adjust of course twist back to your left to tighten it up it's the same thing I have on my 5288

That is what my dad told me too, pick a spot at the far end of the field and drive toward it on your first pass, that will give you a straight line to work off of.

if your seat won't slide forward turn that big splined knob under the steering wheel on the shaft, once its lose pull the wheel to you then tighten it back down, as far as going straight turning backing up etc the only way to learn is to do, looks like your doing great

I love it! There's a couple things to really note here. First, all that seed Grayce dumbed in the square bin is NOT easy work. Second, the stick shift (manual transmission) truck is the sign of a true truck driver spirit...lol... and lastly, did you listen to how seed is treated and that entire explanation. ahhhh ya! Of course I'm biased towards farming since I live in Wisconsin. Always support the farmers and we need more like Grayce. Obviously raised on an awesome family farm.

Grace always pick a spot far in the distance. Focus on that and drive towards it never look down or to the front of your tractor and you’ll be able to make a straight pass I’ve taught this for years on golf courses. So people could most straight. Trust me it works.

If you want something to really mess with your mind try pulling your rig with an articulated tractor. Talk about the wiggles. Straight lines are not that hard just takes a little concentration. It is alright to have a crooked line as long as you know how to correct it.
