Yes this is true death metal - every note, the feeling of every riff and how they're arranged, the tempo, the dramatic changes in speed evoke feelings of foreboding, of despair, of anger and of harrowing morbid extremity. Nothing groovy, no chugging in a high impact way and so creating an inevitable positive energy (Cannibal Corpse' often downfall in my opinion - it gets TOO catchy) - this is the opposite. Like Funrebrarum, very dark haunting death metal. Pillard sick or not possesses arguably the most powerful voice in DM, onward to Golgotha anyone? thanks for posting, great stuff from true underground titans.

@@mcs214 yeah man It was ridiculously heavy. Evoken brought thier own sound man for the show so the sound was full bottom crushing submarine collisions.
