I think the "transformation" thing with the peacock reflects how they're a dull brown as babies and only get their colourful plumage as adults. And given Ralph was inspired by the old video game character Donkey Kong - yeah gorilla totally fits.

Elephants are very gentle. Remember the Christmas earthquake of either 2004 or 2006? In Indonesia? Well an elephant sense the coming tsunami while giving a ride to a young girl. The elephant gently nudged the handler and started inland. The handler got the message and allowed the massive creature to lead the way. 2 hours after the disaster the elephant returned to the same beach with both handler and little girl riding it.

Elsa was by far had the most befitting animal. It was on theme, and it's characteristics really all applied to her. Tianas was the worst it felt inaccurate Bears are representation of strength, family, vitality courage and health, and in other cultures can symbolize rebirth due to the re-emergence of hibernation. So a bear being determined doesn't fit it's narrative, and although Tiana was infact determined to get her dream, as well as turn into a human, but the entire point of the movie was to let go and find love. That love is what she needed. Last but not least Tiana was changed into a frog against her will. You see within the movie her being forced into nature and her trying to escape it and return to civilization. Unlike princesses such as snow white, Cinderella, and aurora, Tiana lacks the true connection to nature. She manages to make friends, but you are shown that being in nature isn't ideal for her, as for being resourceful, Tiana yes, bears? Known, they aren't known for that. Animals shown to be resourceful would be foxes, bees, and crows which all interestingly enough in terms of symbolism/traits would fit Tiana more. I think a frog would have been a better on the nose choice. I mean it would have been way expected. Now does a frog fit Tiana in terms of symbolism, and personality (what frogs are known for)? No, but in theme with the movie absolutely.

Elsa as a snow leopard looks so beautiful. I don’t know why but when I saw Aurora as a dove, I kept seeing Cinderella instead. I guess because in the movie she is friends with the mice and birds. (Yes I know a sawn, which is what Cinderella got, is a bird, but in the movie the birds are small, like doves.)

Personally, I think that the female Disney animals should be allowed to be princesses and not just companions of the human princesses, but the species barrier prevents that from happening. Kiara, Duchess, and Lady are just a few that come to mind. Someone should present this idea to Disney and see what they think

I never got why Nala isn't considered a Disney princess. Kiara I can kinda understand because she's from a sequel. Ariel's daughter, Melody is a princess too but not considered part of the Disney Princess pantheon. But WHY isn't Nala in there? She's never said in the movie to NOT be a princess. We never really get anything about her backstory.

I agree with disagreeing on the Tiana result--for determination I would picture a beaver. Beavers are hard working & resilient. When their dam breaks they immediately go straight to work in repairing it and are always saving for the winter months to have food sources.
