The 2 Dudes and a Cruise series has been awesome! We agree, the only reason for a DCL Bahamian Cruise is Castaway Cay!! Our favorite place to eat is Serenity Bay BBQ. We have never snorkeled, so thanks Craig for sacrificing to show us around the ocean. Thanks for sharing your work trip for us.

When we went to Castaway Key in 2016, there was a wind advisory so everything was closed 😕 good to see that it’s a cool island.

Disney didn't allow us to do it on this cruise, but when I was on DCL in May 2017 they allowed it as long as you had a chest or head strap gopro.

Snugit G food and non-alcoholic drinks are included. You can just hang out at the beach and swim, but you have to rent snorkel gear or bikes.

I am trying to decide between a 3 or 4 day cruise traveling with a 12 year old and 2 year old. My 12 year old son is the only one who has cruised before. Both children are great travelers on planes and in cars. Any suggestions for which might be better?

As far as food, is it included in the price of the cruise? I tried looking it up on DCL website but got mixed results. Is there character dining onboard? Aside from the obvious is there a large benefit to having balcony on ship, considering price difference? Are area's of ship closed at night? I am not a drinker and have 2 kids 11 & 12, would you recommend this cruise or which one do you feel is best suited for that age group? Are there enough activities to fill the days which we all can enjoy?

They all have their benefits. The only one I find disappointing is Enchanted Garden. I think I prefer the food at Royal Palace, but I love the atmosphere at Animator's Palette. Of course Palo is amazing, but that goes without saying.

DIS Unplugged and Palo is a special reservation with an extra charge for that meal?

Yes, it is a special reservation and costs 30 per person. 18 and over. They also do a brunch during days at sea, and I think maybe Nassau on the 3 night cruises, and the brunch sells out quickly but is INCREDIBLE! It is also 30 dollars.
