I think if with rapunzel the men was different it would've been better to change compared to the others.. Here's another thing that bothers the heck out of me: So many of the Disney "Princes" are little more than pure love interests, they just stand around and smile. Phillip was a VERY rare exception up until more recent decades (and Aladdin the only one to be the focus IIRC). What's the fun in seeing a love story with a (mostly) cardboard cutout?

Eugene is one of my favorite characters ❤ Inside and out. I love his depth, complexity, and layers. He's a very good addition to the story. The "criminals" we know aren't actually evil, just misunderstood. Your life can change when shown love. The person you are does too.

And Belle! In the original story, she had three sisters. Her father was rich, but then all of his merchant ships sank and they were poor and she did her new chores without complaint, but here sisters complained. Finally he found one of his ships that was still in tact and asked his daughters what they each wanted. Her sisters asked for expensive gifts, but she only asked for a simple red rose. Her father took the red rose form the beasts castle after stumbling upon it, and the beast let him leave to say goodbye to his daughters, but when he was saying goodbye, Belle snuck away and took his place. Also, she had three brothers too, but they're only part was helping do chores at their house.

Anna and Elsa almost weren't supposed to be sisters in the first place. Anna was a peasant who asked Elsa (The evil Snow Queen) to freeze her broken heart. Elsa was refered as the "villain" many times before the creators realized that she was going through a difficult time. Which she was in Frozen. Oh, and Olaf was supposed to be a penguin instead of a Snowman. Hard to imagine...

Can’t imagine Toy Story 2 (or the Toy Story franchise in general) without Jessie! I was born in 2002 and weirdly enough Toy Story 2 was the first Toy Story movie I saw. 😂 As a girl I idolized her right up there with the Disney Princesses. She showed me how girls can be tough and strong (and be right up there fighting equally with the boys) while also remaining kind, compassionate, and showing what it is to be a true friend. It’s kind of weird for the people like myself who grew up with Jessie I guess, that Pixar now markets Bo-Peep as their “strong, independent woman” character when Jessie was it all along. While there’s definitely always room for more, I just hate that they cast her aside so much in Toy Story 4. (Woody giving her his Sheriff’s pin did hit me in the feels though, as I sometimes did the same with my Woody and Jessie dolls as a kid. I always favored Jessie more just like Bonnie and I think it’s great on Pixar for how realistically they showed that.) but in short, wow my childhood would have been extremely different without Jessie.

Doesn't anyone notice that no disney princess has siblings except for Ariel, I have a Theory why. Ariel looks likes her mother but Ariel stands out from her sisters because she looks nothing like them and non of Ariel sisters look like queen Athena or king Triton. Therefore all of Ariels "sisters" are adopted.
