When I was a kid & I tried Epic Mickey on the Wii… I always found the enemies & the look of the destroyed buildings in the environments too scary & it even gave me nightmares. Even to this day I personally find it almost as scary as the American McGee's Alice video games

I believe that I need to address many things about this game as I am something of an animation historian, mostly Disney and a few others. Now, the Gremlins in the game actually came from a scrapped film adaptation of Roald Dahl's book of the same name and yes, THAT Roald Dahl. It was cancelled for many reasons, most namely during World War II and the storymen struggling a little about how to make these sabotaging buggers sympathetic as remember, the gremlins in folklore were famous for causing malfunctions and faulties in aeroplanes. In Dark Beauty Castle, mostly in the laboratory, there were many statues that depict Diablo from Sleeping Beauty in his petrified state. In the Courtyard of Dark Beauty Castle, there were also statues of Maleficent in her dragon form. There were also thorns about, linking to Maleficent. The tickets that you collect were actually called E-Tickets as they were an allusion to a time when individual attraction tickets used at the Disney theme parks when they first opened. Instead of using one pass for everything, visitors would use A, B, C, D, and E-tickets. E-Tickets were for the "best" stuff. Also, Mickey and the Beanstalk is actually a segment from the anthology film, Fun and Fancy Free. Last thing to remark. Those dolls were apart of the It's a Small World attraction from every Disney theme park. 6:00 - Actually, that creature is close to the Phantom Blot from the Mickey comics 11:42 - That particular art style owes a lot to Mary Blair, a very famous concept artist at Disney where she worked on a lot of projects, most famously Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Song of the South, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (specifically the Sleepy Hollow segment), Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and the It's a Small World attraction. 24:10 - That would be a film reel.

this looks incredible. Played the demo too, loved it instantly. I've always wanted this game to be more accessible, and here it is: put out on all major consoles + PC. You would assume that a Wii game like this could be difficult to map the controls on modern controllers, but honestly I think they nailed it. It didn't feel off for a second.

When i was a kid i would watch Blitzwinger play Lego games, my favorite game was always Epic Mickey 2, I used to think about how fun it would be to watch him play it. This is the best moment of my entire life.

Heads up as what you do can change your ending. Thin out the bad guys over saving them with paint can give you a really bad ending for those bad guys at the end!

Longtime EM player here. The game's morality system rewards you for working harder to befriend others, and punishes you for neglecting them. You'll want to befriend the Blotlings and other enemies as you go along, especially in boss fights, which change the ending depending on how often you use paint or thinner.

I have some issues with this demo. Atleast my experience on a mediocre laptop was ehhh on lowest setting i still experienced alot of lag especially in the cutscenes. Cutscene setting would be appreciated. the mouse controls were iffy. Once you exit the menu you cannot control the camera until you press the left mouse button again which is annoying. I also hate how the demo just... ends. I expected you atleast finish the whole level but guess not. And yes the lag is "my fault" but if i can buy a game i atleast expect it to work sorta well on any kind of platform it can be bought on. Dumb issues aside the paint gimmick is still pretty fun and i had way to much joy painting and destroying things like i was a 6 year old again.
