See, I agree. And it’s a shame, too, because I’ve tried starting movie review KZbin channels (mainly for old releases), and media criticism has been so brutalized by these douchebags that run everything now, you can’t even build an audience talking about anything but horror movies lol. It sucks, yo. I’ve had to mainly stick with a horror movie review channel because no one watches reviews for anything else-even my hot take on the new Lightyear movie. I love movies so much, and there’s literally no one to talk about the stuff with.

I actually applied for Disney many, many years ago as a graphic designer in my 20's, this was somewhere between 2010-2016. Even though it hurt being rejected by one of the biggest companies out there, seeing what a racist company Disney has become, the heartache wasnt even worth it in the long run.

It is very hard nowadays to be a fan of anything and like legitimately a fan I noticed Star wars theory is basically us how we feel about the stuff we had in DC and like I said it's hard to be a fan of franchises like actually buying merchandise and knowing the lore when companies let weirdos and tourists come in and basically tell us the fans who been here how wrong we are for not liking the new stuff. What franchises nowadays are untouched that you can legitimately be a fan of it and not get called out because you dislike something. I get called out by people who don't read comic books who don't buy the merchandise but the only thing they will support is basically the animated movies and shows but I'm wrong because I know Superman or Batman won't do this or they'll do that. I don't like my adventures with Superman because it's disrespects Superman and his lore but I'm wrong and I'm automatically basically considered a Snyder fan and I don't know what I'm talking about like it's crazy and it's them people that push fans like us out and guess what the company do bad then worse

I could give 2 “Fs” if the lead character is gay, lesbian, black white, brown, straight, arrow, yellow, purple, hashbrown, whatever. If the story is good then it’s good and it’ll succeed. But if it’s bad then it’s bad. Just call it as it is and not by any agenda they wanna push. Get better writers, investigate Disney, and stop forcing crap down our throats

Disney hates Star Wars fans like myself. They’ve made me so pessimistic that I can’t enjoy the original trilogy no more because they have crapped on the legacy characters and stories so much that it’s hard to watch the good old stuff anymore. It’s easy to ignore Disney’s crap, but despite that they’ve alienated me so much that I have lost the heart to enjoy SW. I can’t just overlook the bad trash because a part of me still thinks, “This gets all screwed up by Disney and the sequel trilogy.” Kathleen Kennedy managed to make me fall out of love in my childhood because she hates the characters that I loved and took a dump on them and their stories. Also, she threw out the Expanded Universe but yet insists there’s no source material (and yet cherry pick chooses stuff from it)

You're absolutely right that because the writing and the stories are simply bad, it's hard to stomach the current day zeitgeist and politics that permeate most of today's tv and movies. Political and cultural opinions have always been a big part of tv and cinema. It's not anything new. As a guy about to turn 56 in a few months, (I saw Star Wars at the movies when I was 9 years old) I can attest that whatever the current issues of the day whether it was the 70's, 80's, 90's or beyond found their way into entertainment. We were always being preached at about something. It just all seemed to go down a little easier than it does now because good story telling was always in the forefront.

I don't know why Disney takes issue that Star Wars is predominantly male. It's like asking me why I'm not a Barbie fan. This DEI movement in cinema may not like it because it doesn't fill their quota of checkmarks, but gender roles really do exist. That's not a theory. Does that mean we won't get tomboys that like Star Wars? No. But the general consensus is that certain genders gravitate to certain things. Facts. Get over it. You can't force the issue. He doesn’t even bother with any of the new movies, after TLJ and all of the Disney SJW agenda they’ve been pushing. Headland "struggling" with such a male dominated fanbase is like a guy going to a Taylor Swift concert and having a "hard time" with the amount of female fans. Theyre are fundemental differences between men and women whereby some aspects appeal to one gender more than the other. People need to accept that.
