I feel like lots of people want something fresh and new but when Disney tries that, they get hate for it not being just like the films in the 90s and early 2000s. I thought this film did a great job of being a fresh new story line with new characters and music while also having a compelling and fast paced story with many Disney nods. The whole essence of the Disney company are dreams coming true and this movie beautifully captured that. Thank you for breaking down these easter eggs!

Hey there. I was looking for videos for all the easter eggs in wish and I stumbled across your video. I'd like to give some honest feedback about it. You seem earnest in content creation so I figured I'd be earnest in a comment too. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to get through this video. I'm not sure if you were trying to stretch it out to a certain time or something, but this video is a bit too full of extra comments and 'analysis' that, frankly, are just the same thing repeated and repeated over and over again. The points you make also have no depth to them. Yes, we know that everything is meant to deepen the connection with the film by referencing the past. Do you need to mention that for every single point? You also make points that just make no sense, like saying 'the parallels between the characters of the 7 dwarves and the sidekicks add depth to the character'. That literally means nothing. And worse, you say the same thing for every single reference. EVERYTHING adds depth to 'Wish' or the characters. This is just padding and fluff. It adds nothing to the analysis of the movie, gives no real information, and wastes time when honestly what people want from this is just a list of the secrets and easter eggs and cameos. If you want to make commentary on things and links, don't make surface level observations that is already very obvious and don't need to be stated. Instead, you should try to draw actual thematical links and show HOW the use of these easter eggs impact the movie. Not just 'oh, this easter egg makes the character more deep'. Honestly, we all know the truth. There is no real actual depth to these references. They're there because this movie is the Disney 100 tribute film, and they just wanted to put in as many references as possible for the sake of nostalgia. Knowing this, your lines of analysis really makes this video sound like you are just trying to pad for time with a script written by AI. I genuinely mean no offence, but this is really how it just comes across. Good stuff in your video, for example, are listing the friends and directly comparing them to the dwarves. Do more of THAT stuff. That's informative. It gets to the point. You should even have made note of how their clothing and colour choices match, and also how their physical characteristics also match more than just 'doc wears glasses'. Bringing in facts like how they refer to the main girl as 'doctor' is also a good fact. That's the stuff you should be focusing on, not all the waffling. Hope this feedback helps, and good luck with your channel.
@BEYONDPREMIERE Жыл бұрын
Hey there! First of all, thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback on my video. I genuinely appreciate your honesty and constructive criticism. I totally understand your point about the video being a bit too long and filled with repetitive comments and analysis. I apologize if it felt like I was stretching it out unnecessarily. Your feedback about focusing on the thematic links and how the Easter eggs impact the movie is well-taken. You're right; it's essential to provide more substantial insights beyond just pointing out the references. I appreciate your kind words about the parts of the video that worked for you, such as comparing the friends to the dwarves and noting their clothing and color choices. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos and strive to provide more informative content that gets straight to the point. Again, thank you for your feedback and good wishes for my channel. It's viewers like you who help creators like me improve and deliver better content. If you ever decide to watch any of my future videos, I hope you find them more to your liking. Thanks for being earnest in your comment, and I'll do my best to make the necessary improvements.

This is such a horrible video, as is every other one I can find that's supposed to show the nostalgic Disney nods in Wish. All that's needed is a list of the references, with clips from Wish and the referenced movie shown side by side or one after the other. This has nonsense additions with no value, blathering on about adding depth to the story instead of just saying what lines up with past movies. It really isn't hard to put together a simple comparison video and I'm shocked that no one has done a decent one.

@epicepicenter715 The film literally takes place in the Mediterranean which has influences from North Africa due to the The Moors traveling to countries Portugal, Spain, Southern Italy and Malta during the Middle Ages which is when Wish the films takes place. The castle in the film is inspired by a Castle in Spain. This was during a type there were Muslims, Jewish and Christians lived together in the region and Asha says a greeting, in Spanish, Hebrew and Arabic in the first song. The filmmakers even stated they were influenced by the region of the Mediterranean and North Africa circa 1200s which had cultures of Islam influencing the architecture & there were people from different regions in North Africa and Mediterranean countries together. Even if you don’t travel to these countries you could literally educate yourself instead of thinking Europe is a Monolith & there were no black people until modern times 🙄
