She admitted to breaking the rule then she should at the very least get 1 year banned from all Disney property and at most, and I think this one appropriate, a lifetime ban. Whoopi new the rule and did it anyway, and with her confession, she encouraged others to do the same. Celebrities should not be treated special at all.

Trivia note: Sully’s daughter Kathleen Sullivan (Riordan) was WDW Ambassador in 1989. Her year was particularly eventful, including the opening of Disney/MGM studios and a lot of promotional travel as she accompanied the “LiMOUSEine” on a trip across the USA. She was also (I believe) in entertainment, singing and dancing as one of the “Kids of the Kingdom”.

When I think of the Water Flumes, I immediately think of Mack Rides' Rocking Boats concept (there's a video on KZbin). I'm really curious to see how Disney's system will differ.

I wonder if people saw Whoopii do it, or the ashes didn't just disappear in the water right away, and she realized that she had to confess. It seems strange that she didn't think it through only to come to her senses immediately after. Also, strange story to tell on National TV considering it's illegal.

Yeah she prob realized pretty quickly that it was better to confess, but fully knew what she was doing ahead of time. That she could be forgiven and not banned. I doubt someone else would get the same special treatment.

Man talk about getting cheap, Disney goes from SoCal resident discount tickets, which was a pretty big hunk defined as "SoCal" to just the city of Anaheim. Is there some vote going on about expansion plans with Disney or something soon? That said, me living in NorCal this doesn't affect me at all, although it does make me miffed that Disney World has a statewide discount on tickets/passes, but no such thing existed here in California.

Time is money. That’s why we stopped going in 2022. So much money wasted just waiting on transportation. And with no more fastpass, even with Genie+ we spent more time waiting and less time doing anything we previously had time for in other visits. And when rides break down, they don’t even tell you if you’re in the queue. You wait an hour or two before giving up because you have to have an ADR that they’ll charge you for, and the cast member letting you out doesn’t even give out apology fastpasses any more. That’s why there are so many fights with guests and cast members… …that “$4 a minute.”
@chillabrew_glycolinstall2 ай бұрын
@UmmYeahOk it's even worse when they pay youtubers to feature a new promotion, and all of them get stuck on a ride together for like 30/45 mins 🤣😅😭 No free tix. No free fastpast. Just a ton of money sucking broken swill.

What’s Whoopi doing in a Disney park? True?
@happymaskedguy19432 ай бұрын
When it comes to losing the people we love most, it’s understandable that sometimes mistakes are made - and rules disregarded - when we are emotionally unstable. For all that Whoopi has contributed to Disney, she probably justified it in the moment, but then realised the potential implications of her actions and came clean immediately. Which is more than can be said for the usual drunk clowns punching and abusing cast members.
