😍 Hayley Mills , still love her! My first time seeing her on screen was in the re-release of In Search of the Castaways playing at the drive in theatre ; I was too young to take notice of her then but I do remember the scene from Castaways that would register with me years later when I did pay attention😘: when she and her brother were sneaking aboard the ship at the beginning of the film. The film that gave me chronic Hayleyitis was The Parent Trap , when it was rebroadcast on the Wonderful World of Disney tv show. From that moment on I was stricken with Hayleyitis. One fact that no one brings up regarding her Disney roles is that her characters were always strong individuals that lead the way not the typical feminine types that were stil in films during the 60s. Her Disney memrobilia is definitely the pot of gold IMO. Lobby cards are the icing on the cake with the movie poster being the cake! Always gave full attention to the lobby cards on display when I went to see a movie. Computer was the first Disney film I went to see by myself as a kid!

I sure agree with you about Hayley, and yes, her personality worked well with the strong individuals that lead who she played in Disney films. Thanks for all your thoughtful observations-and for watching!

Thanks for doing this, Jim! You know I’m a big live-action film fan and just loved this episode! I just picked up four Pollyanna lobby cards last week. Now I think i might have to get the Suzanne Pleshette “Girls of San Francisco” one!!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the video, Brian. I'm a big fan of the Disney live-action films too. It's a shame they are often overlooked. They have so much to offer. And four of the Pollyanna lobby cards, wow. I don't know which ones you have, but they are all beauties!

Thank you, Dave! And yes, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes is such a fun movie. The lobby card set certainly represents it well. It's fun to share it via video!

Another wonderful video Jim! Honestly, if it hadn't been for the old Sid Cahuenga's One of A Kind Memorabilia shop that used to be at Disney's MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida, I would have never known about lobby cards and pressbooks! I have that place to thank for so many of my collectibles from the Herbie films, The Shaggy D.A., and The Absent-Minded Professor!

This was interesting as usual. I guess I've always been familiar with lobby cards without ever really thinking twice about them. I'll never look at them the same way again. Oh and by the way, I've never heard of The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes! :-)
